Genji feels terrible to play His dmg is nonexistent and he has so many counters that are better than him His counters don’t even require skill Moira has a lock on people and also why is widowmaker is allowed to one-shot people with her gun but Genji being able to one-shot with nano blade is absurd give Genji 30 shuriken and let him do 120 blade dmg

He is the prime antagonist of the projectile category.
And blizzard is not on his villain arc just yet.

Genji is still primarily a clean-up character to me. Its too difficult for him to necessarily achieve solo kills alone and gets maximum output upon getting those dash resets to get out or help secure a kill and flee.
He kind of needs a diving buddy unless you are cracked enough on Genji above the local competition to make his dmg work.

They wont and 30 is way to high perosnly the buff genji needs is a new ult maybe rework his ult to be like vantage where you have specific slash count that takes longer to charge

Oh man, if you have problems with widow as genji, that’s a completely skill issue, my guy. She charges her very “one-shot” longer than some support can two-tap her even. Although, the damage drop off is so drastic so you won’t even one-shot people with widow anymore in most cases, in all other cases it takes too much time to charge the scope. The character has no value outside these barely existing oneshots.
But the moira case is kinda unfair, as the Moira player don’t need to have the same mechanical output as genji to be able to deal with the opponent. Value to effort ratio is broken here for sure.

Calling Genji fine is saying you have zero understanding of the game.
S9 has ruined this dude. The health buffs hurt him more than they help him, and the hitbox buffs hurt him more than they help him. The blade changes make bare blade slightly more useful which means genuinely nothing, and the removal of Nanoblade as a combo completely removes the one aspect of him that throughout all of Overwatch history kept him useful even during GOATS.
Genji is absolutely horrible. His ult does less damage than a cassidy headshot lmao.
And also these no aim and is spammable, which is what you’re leaving out…

I think you guys are both delusional, Widowmaker is completely busted yes, but thinking that a shuriken should do 30 dmg is crazy, the only way i see them buffing genji is if they make his blade slice hitbox not the size of your screen and make it so dash has a thinner hitbox so its not just a braindead, “durr slice through enemy” ability. Another issue is that youre comparing 1 single shot to an AOE slice that gives you a steroid tracer blink that does damage that refreshes every kill. Youre crazy if you think a combo as easy as dash → left click should one shot with such a weak mechanical skill floor
