I’ve been playing Genji nearly exclusively for a long time now, and just got into widow and tracer (I like high-skill heroes), but I mostly play Genji in comp as he is my most powerful pick by far, and I would like to prove to myself that I can play Genji at a high level some day. I have climbed quite a bit in the past couple seasons and am hoping to get to gold, but the 1800-1900s are giving me some trouble, if anyone out there is willing to give me some tips or review a vod, I’d be very happy
At those ranks, just create frustration (which as a side bonus is good practice for the higher tiers). Kills matter less than just getting in, dumping damage, and getting out. You can really tilt the other team, I mean real bad, just listen to the some of the team chat sometimes when a decent genji… not even good… starts working the middle of the team… it’s amusing. Absolutely deny them your kill, no matter what. It keeps them jumpy and kills any cohesion. And it’s great practice since movement is what you need to be the master of for the moving up.
Kill supports firsts.
- increase primary accuracy
- eliminate supports
- reduce deaths (increase hero uptime and thus ult uptime)
- DM, DM, DM, practice your regular duel match-ups (cass, tracer, zen, ana, bap, etc)
Ironically, when you start caring about increasing your ‘stats’ your rank will rise naturally… ![]()
Thanks, I was kind of letting my long range accuracy go, so I’ll work on that for a while in qp and see if that helps
ult farm lol his ult is nasty op
True that, most people at my rank don’t seem to give it any respect which makes it easier to use
post a replay code, ill review your genji play
Ok, will do. Thank you for your support
