Just though of this right now, what if he just melee had a bleed effect, that could be stacked. His melee will do the 35 dmg and 10 dmg per second for 3 seconds, this dmg can be stacked up to 30 dps for 3 seconds. Thoughts?
Genji doesnât need buffs. He would already be op if it werenât for the current meta.

Hahahahahahaha no, hed be far from overpowered until you nerf the entire roster down to below his level.
Most heroes are far stronger than Genji. Hes the only hero truly free from powercreep.

Perhaps change the bleeding effect into a sort of anti heal? Maybe 50%, it would give him utility and help him get past one of his biggest weaknesses

Yo that could be cool, Genji really struggles against all this sustain so I like that idea
They could give him cauterize like in PaladinsâŚthen he would at least have a role.
And they wouldnât have to change his kit. Which is already pretty good and funâŚhe just got overwhelmed by the addition of burst heals and CD added to the game.

Genji is fine folks. Just because youâre not seeing him much doesnât mean heâs weak.

This has been the statement for quite some time and itâs getting old as an excuse.
Itâs been over a year since dive has concluded, he hasnât fit into a single meta since, everyone has been made more powerful while Genji remains the same. There comes a time to realize that Genji may very well be too weak to contend. You cant just keep watching the horse bleed out and act like everythingâs fine.

Weak DPS are Sym and Torb. Pharah also qualifies.
Genji not being in the top 3 meta DPS and instead being within the top 10 doesnt mean he is underpowered and in need of buffs.

Its kind of surprising how genji is not the most absolute trash hero in the game as of now with all the power creep thats gone down.
Hes only really ever received QoL buffs along with big nerfs and yet hes still able to perform to some extent in the current state of the game.
With how OP he was in the beginning stages of the game its kind of funny to see how much he under-performs now.
Hes definitely on the weaker side now, the game has too much cancer now for flankers to have as much potential as they used to.

Clearly, during the GOATS meta when Orisa was never picked, there was obviously something wrong and underpowering about Orisa. Thatâs why in 2/2/2 team compositions (and now) sheâs the premiere Tank pick because of all those buffs she got to her barrier, damage, and cooldowns.
Except thatâs the opposite of what happened.
You need to understand that what defines the meta is largely player perception and not balance as a whole, just because someone isnât pick for a particular meta has nothing to do with their overall power or overall balance in the game at large. Genji is still within the top 10 at the highest levels of play, and for the most part seems to be doing fairly well (either in part because of certain animation cancelling methods or otherwise).

Except he isnt really ââunder-performingââ right now. He is good, just not top meta pick, despite an unfavorable meta.
Half the DPS heroes are worse off that him despite many of them being probably great in theory on this meta. Best examples being Pharah and Sym.

Just ask genji mains which hero counters them and itâll be anyone they have hard time with

Thatâs blatantly biased. The vast majority of people who play Genji know how easy it is to kill a Zenyatta. He has no movement abilities and his only source of damage is easily deflected.
Real Genji counters include:
Ashe (Grenade almost undeflectable with current hitboxes, 170 DoT if too close)
Doomfist (Oneshot, better mobility, better damage)
McCree (Itâs 2020. McCree know to flash the ground now.)
Mei (Huge slow, lasts long enough for Mei to catch up even if Genji dashes)
Symmetra (Turrets and beam weapon undeflectable)
Sigma (Rock to stun, one leftclick to kill.)
Zarya (Undeflectable beam weapon melts at high charge)

it would make his combo a lot better, ill give you that. but his combo is hardly usable with the insane amount of cc in the game
