Genji auto block mod?

BGT5YZ at 2:10 in game, you tell me. I swear ive seen this happen too much to think it’s reaction. sometimes the trigger of the block ability is synced perfectly with the pressing of the sleep dart button.

ive seen this numerous times. I think it’s an auto block mod

There are things like auto block cheats, but typically they are not on something like someone presses something to start an attack.

ive been curious. in the past i have seen instances where im playing ana, and i go up against a genji or a dva, and i press sleep dart and at the exact instance i press the button, their block is triggered. Ive even looked at it on replay at .1x speed, and it is EXACTLY the same time, as if my pressing sleep dart, has also pressed his block button, it’s that much in sync.

sleep dart has an animation…

I mean, in theory you could code something which does that, it just seems odd that someone would.

gengi mains are masters of prediction and also if someone has more than 60fps they can easily see ana raise her arm for the sleep dart animation. Be less predictable, ill give you a free tip. When facing a genji, do a 180 for a split second to pretend youre about to run away, they will waste dash at you likely then spin back around and flick sleep or just nade your feet they will deflect defensively and retreat or youll kill them.

A good player is easy to predict because theyre likely to make the " right" choice.

yes it does, but you think that a lot of people have such reflexes that, in the middle of chaos, they can watch for that little animation to pop out and in the fraction of a second it takes for it to happen, that signal gets processed by the brain of the user of the genji and their finger presses the button to block…at the exact instant the dart button is pressed? i mean, that would have to border on pre cognition.

lets put it this way…several months ago, i was playing ana, and i was coming up on a battle, a d’va wasnt even facing me. I pressed the sleep dart button, the d’va literally turned toward me, put out defense matrix to block the dart, then turned back and continued fighting the target she was previously engaged with.

usually, in my games, for some unknown reason, blizzard has decided that i should play against plat through GM level players. I have no freakin idea why, but they do. So for me, I dont have a split second, when a genji can cast shuriken twice and dash to kill you, a support death is only about 2 seconds away.

I have a hard time believing their reaction is THAT fast. That they can react the very instant i press the sleep dart button.

In the past i have had instances where ive been engaged with a geni. I was actually shooting at them with my rifle. For several seconds, I was in a melee with them, and they didnt activate block, then, as soon as I press the dart button, their block comes out. Now, you’re telling me they are able to predict WHEN im going to use the sleep dart button?

yes, the people who play genji, have spent way too much time on that char

then they are the real life spiderman, i tell ya because, were talking being able to detect something happening, at the instant it happens. spider senses?

you can blame spidey-sense if you want, but its honestly not hard to track or see

anas sleep takes .5 seconds to leave the barrel. During that time you are lifting your arm off the barrel of your sniper into your pocket. The AVERAGE human reaction time is less than half that at 200ms. A cracked genji having a hot game is probably 120-200 ms. Yes, people can see the animation bro. Try a reaction time test online, youll surprise yourself. There are entire workshop codes dedicated to practicing blocking sleep, and likewise there are ana sleep workshop codes against blading genji.

interesting, i guess im wrong then. its surprising that these people have such good reaction time that they can press their button at the exact same time i press my button. I mean, that happens before any animation starts to even show. ive slowed it down to the slowest speed i can, and watch it frame by frame, and i track from just before i press the button, and i look at both my ability and his ability, and i advance it frame by frame, and the frame before i activate, both abilities are available, then i press the button and check the next frame, and lo and behold, his button is also activated.

If that is the kind of reaction time you are talking about…then geez…im not worthy lol :bowing_man:

240ms, according to the wiki page.

Can you share these codes?

good point, human reaction time is about 200ms, and this animation is 240ms…it’s not .5 seconds…its .24 seconds for the animation.

I wouldnt call it too odd

Auto-block hacks for characters like Rein and Genji have been a thing for years. Especially for hacks that are actively watching the memory of the game, these systems can physically see the nano-second a hero like ana activates sleep, and auto cast deflect. Fancier ones will even use the ram values to observe vectors and decide whether or not sleep dart will even hit you, and only burn deflect if it detected it would. Hacks are scary man.
