General Error (0xE0010160)

Everytime I close Overwatch after playing it and then the next day I want to play, it shows “General Error (0xE0010160)” when I launch it. The only way for me to fix this is to restart my pc, but it still keeps saying “General Error (0xE0010160)” the next day after restarting my PC

I think this update broke the game cause I’ve never had this issue until now.

Assuming you have a Nvidia GPU, I’d suggest grabbing the hotfix drivers here. There is an issue in the 397.31 drivers where they may be automatically uninstalled after sitting idle for awhile.

Thanks very much. I was wondering why I had to install it again when I went to check NVIDIA’s drivers and saw that I had to install it again, I tried that but it failed to do so.

The Nvidia hotfix driver fixed it for me!

Will I need to keep updatin my Nvidia as well or will the hot fix handle everything?

Bless you <3 I’m gonna try the hot fix. Overwatch always runs perfectly for me but the last 2 updates have given me the general error. THANK you Zhyxen!

Will the latest update 397.64 correct this by chance?

ive been restarting my gpu drivers in device manager and getting the same effect, I hope nvidia fixes this weird thing soon
