Gaping support diff issues

If hero’s relative strength are being balanced against there own roles. We have a major support balance issue on our hands.

How do you balance a hero like lifeweaver…. To be fair at GM and gold?

How do you balance heros that get %90 of their value for free… against hero that have to work for %90 of their value.

How do you make this fair for everyone without killing the player base?

This is advertised as an fps so a new player should be able to play an fps hero without throwing right?

But what do you do if samito and flats cry and complain?

You have to nerf all the supports right? Not just the outliers for their skill tier?

You drop down on your knees, beg for forgiveness and rush the change without considering that consequences. Even if it takes 10 months to finish, you commit!

If youre a dev and you believe they are all balanced against each other….

Then you have to just nerf them all I think.

I personally want to see all healing across the board nerfed and have the dps & tanks given the support passive on a 1 second later cd.

Nerf all healing by 10-20 percent and give everyone one else the passive. It’s Gucci

It is simple: you don’t.

From my observation, the current balance order is like this:
-“try” to balance around GM and streamers.
-don’t touch/nerf heroes with large vocal playerbase
-“try” to buff heroes who are going to get skins
-“balance” for lower ranks only after everything above is met

This completely. So sad I’m just suggesting they balance for 90% of their player base.

Why does gm literal %1 of the player base get so much pull?

Who cares if they can’t play some hero’s….

Isn’t it better for 90% of the player base to be able to enjoy they game than %1?

Bastian for example was good 4 seasons ago… why dumpster plat (where he’s now almost a free win) bc gm players think he’s not viable?

They pander to streamers just to get good publicity.

They like losing players apparently.

They’ve shown 0 interest in balancing out effort v value for the support roster. I’ve been saying for awhile now this is one of the bigger issues across support right now.

The role has way too many crutches.

You probably don’t. If you take these heroes free value away those who play for this free value will likely be forced to go do something else.

I hate to say this but ow is going downhill fast.

Mei bastian are the dps meta.

And hate to say it but if they nerf bap, kiri, and illari slightly too much we’re going straight back to mercy meta. She will be the obvious choice for backline safety/value. Not to mention if she’s good enough every person “should” play her bc everyone can.

I don’t really buy this, if you think a hero get 90% value for free why not play that hero, you would be pretty stupid to play a hero that you need to put in 90% more work… I think each supports have there strength and weakness I play all to some degree mainly what we give me an easier time vs map vs enemy team comp…

Instead of 1 tricking have a few heroes under you belt, that covers all of your basis

Game isn’t battle field or cod where it is mostly 1st shot 1st kill…

That’s the problem. People don’t want to play it bc it’s not fun. It’s painful to swap off the hero you enjoy playing… and realize you were always better off just playing mercy.

It’s actually so painful and so problematic for low mid high all the way to low rank players

That is the thing then don’t whine about it, There are heroes i like to play than others… Usually you have a choice to make…

  1. If winning is more important play the hero that gives you greatest odds of whining even if hero isn’t as fun as others.

or

  1. Play the hero you want winning or losing be damn, just don’t be upset when someone says “* DIFF”
