Since the lifeweaver patch, half my games are in the wrong servers. I am usually NA east, but have been getting games on lax1 (which sometimes happens), and also cdg1 (eu, should not happen).
I solo queue only, so it’s not like I’m playing with a NA west duo to get that server.
This is seriously affecting competitive game quality, as I am getting 100+ ping instead of 40 on NA east servers.
IDK how much u can gather from replay codes about the server but this game P7ZXWM was on cdg1, and my entire team agreed that the ping was higher than it should

Also having the same issue, normally play out of NA Central, each game I’ve played has been out of CDG1.

NA East here.
I’ve had this problem since Late Season 3. So let’s say I’ve been having this problem for about 2 and a half months and I’m utterly sick of it.
It’s not your ISP, it’s not “routing problems”, or any of the other BS excuses Blizzard says.
It is Blizzard’s matchmaking / Blizzard’s servers. Otherwise, why is it when I queue with my friends we get put in the right region 100% of the time?
So what I’ve been doing to mitigate it is: Turn on the game, instantly queue unranked Open Queue or Deathmatch, join pre-game Deathmatch, check server and if it’s not the right region re-open the game.
I found that I’ll be toured around the world (gsg1, cdg1, ams1, gen1, gause1) when this happens until one time I open it and it FINALLY decides I’m American and should play on either [lax] or [ord1].
AND NO, IT’S NOT MATCHING ME IN “THE SERVER WITH THE BEST PING” IF I AM GETTING MATCHED AN OCEAN AND A CONTINENT AWAY WITH 230MS PING.
Sorry to be heated but the run-around response support gives is basically just gaslighting because it’s better for them to say something than 'I don’t know".
It sucks that I have to open the game 10-20 times before I can get to play in the right servers. If there was ever a way to make people silently quit the game this is it.
