Game takes multiple minutes to launch

1st occured 2 days ago.
8600k / rtx 3070 / 16gb ram

On launcher after i press play it changes status to playing now, but game itself takes 3-5 minutes afterwards to actually lauch windows with game. Afterwards there are no additional problems.

Same problem but while overwatch is “loading” I can’t open anything else. Cpu usage is normal.

Howdy Derelict,

In most cases I have seen, slow loading situations like this are due to background security programs or having the game installed on an older harddrive. You may want to add the game as an exception in your security software. If that doesn’t help, reinstall to another harddrive temporarily to test the game.

If this persists, let’s get a DxDiag to get this investigated:

1. Press Windows Key + R.
2. Type DxDiag and press Enter.
3. In the DxDiag window, click Save All Information.
4. Name the file “dxdiag” and click Save
5. Paste the DXdiag into the post, select and highlight everything you just pasted, and hit the “preformatted text” button (</>). That’ll make the information much more readable.
