my game server crashed during a competitive game and i got suspended for 10 minutes im worried that if it keeps happening ill get permabanned on my only account ive had for 9 years

Be aware that a server crash cancels the entire match and kicks everyone out, so there should be no associated penalty. It is possible to get a permanent ban if you continue disconnecting through ISP or route to the server.

i just think its weird how it says the game server crashed after ive been able to play 10 matches with no problem and then i get kicked out by the game itself and then also get a ban from it
Depends on what you’re referencing here. I find that most people aren’t using the correct nomenclature for the issue they’re experiencing. Server errors are labeled “unexpected server error,” and the entire match will be cancelled. Local disconnections (your computer, ISP, or somewhere between you and the server) are labeled “client requested disconnect” or “unexpected error occurred.”

This stuff has been happening to me for awhile now I did everything they asked me to do, I restarted my wifi, got a new wifi box, a new ip address, a new plan, asked for a refresh on my isp services, gone ahead and deleted my cache for the game, tried everything under the book and this still comes up. This is a issue on overwatches end but they refuse to admit it. They should have something that identifies stuff like that vs leaving games like csgo can identify if someone closes the app or faces a connection error overwatch is just lazy
Same thing has been happening to me for the past month or so. Every time I open the game, my wifi somehow disconnects and I kept getting suspended for leaving “too many times”. I’ve done everything from restarting my desktop to reinstalling the game and it keeps crashing on me. I’ve even had to do a network restart on my desktop and it only disconnects whenever I open OW. I literally spent all day working on my desktop today without wifi issues and the moment I tried to load OW, the game crashes and then I’m suspended upon restart. It even crashed on my boyfriend’s desktop multiple times when I slept over for a couple of nights, so I know it’s not my desktop or wifi. My endorsement level got penalized for it too.
