Game Sense vs Mechanical Aim

I keep hearing people talk about how having a strong game sense can make up for a lack of Mechanical Aim. There are very obvious ways to train your mechanical aim, but there really isn’t any ways to train game sense that I can see.

I mean other than just playing a lot. But, what’s to stop you from just making the same mistakes time and time again?

Are there any resources that ‘you’ know of that can help teach battle strategy and logic?

Experience I guess.

It’s just thinking about what is going to happen coming up, and where to position yourself to respond to it in an advantage.

I can agree. I have 40% accuracy with soldier which overbuff says is top 10%. But my gamesense is garbage so im low elo. Atleast you can escape low elos with good aim. Gained 1000+ sr this season.

I think putting in hours on a wide set of heroes really boosts your in game awareness. All the heroes require different positioning, ability timing, ect. so being able to get those down on many heroes will boost your “game sense”.

For example, if you love playing genji a lot, but find yourself getting killed by winston and moira often, try playing them for a few hours in QP or whatever to figure out their strengths and weaknesses. That way, when you play genji again, or any other hero, you can plan accordingly when playing against them.

Adapt and evolve. Be versatile and climb.

The best thing I know so far is to review your own game and find out the mistakes and mis-opportunities . Then try to keep that in mind when playing to avoid doing that again.
