Last night I was playing with a 6 stack in comp, and it randomly decides to log me out. Why? no identifiable reason. I was in a discord call, so if my internet hiccuped, the call should’ve skipped too, but it didn’t. I was upset that it cut 50 points out of my sr, but i figured id get over it. A game or 2 later, it happened AGAIN! At this point, i’ve been cheated out of 100 sr, it doesn’t even say “Lost connection” or anything, it just brings me to the log in screen with no explanation or error message. But here’s how I know its a bug, and not just some internet thing: When i type in my login info, the “login” button simply doesn’t light up, or even work for that matter, I have to restart the game entirely just to log back in. Ive been reading other posts about this, and plenty of other people have had this EXACT issue, but, like me, when they contacted Blizzard support, they were basically told that it was THEIR internet, and not the server, despite all of them actively playing other online games with not even a hint of an interruption. But time and time again, we keep getting told that it must be a problem on our end, but are never told what the problem even is. They cant even find out what kind of issue it even is. Apparently, even though it only started last night for me, some people have dealt with this for over a year, even though they have 100+ mbps download/upload speeds. Doesnt exactly seem like its an issue on our end. I dont care about getting my sr back, i just want to be able to play a game without getting randomly logged out. The worst part is, as I previously mentioned, it doesnt even say “Lost connection” for me (though it does for some people) It just looks like a normal log in screen if you didnt set it to auto-login
Yeah this has been happening to me recently a lot too. It idk if its coincidence but it only will happen in a comp game. Like I’ll be climbing from where i dropped and right near where I get to where I started before I dropped, logs me out. I wish Blizzard would actually try and do something other then the same ol’ “not our fault, it’s yours, get better internet,” instead of actually seeing whats wrong. I have 250+ mbps and it still does it.
Similar problem. Mystery Heroes for me though. Tonight is particularly bad. Of about 6 or 7 rounds, I only was able to finish 2 of them without a DC. Wish I know what was going on.
No other game does this. At this point I just have to assume some game server configuration or anti-cheat system is causing some people connection issues. I really, really love Overwatch but I just can’t play like this.
I’ll keep checking back but I’m going to give the game a break for the time being.
