I understand that Quick Play is not the same as Competitive mode, but the leavers are just ridiculous.
Two games ago, my team had one mediocre DPS and one poor DPS. I was heals, my tank and other heal did a very good job. We steadily and fairly quickly pushed them back, and near the end, where our payload was fairly close to landing, half their team left and they held the match as a direct result.
My last game, literally the whole enemy team left. We were still able to win the match.
Quick Play is not supposed to be as intense as Comp, but it is fairly frustrating to lose a match for the sole reason that tons of players can leave with no penalty to their team. It’s fair to lose a match to the team you were matched against. It doesn’t feel fair when anybody can leave with barely any consequence and the balance of the match dramatically shifts and you lose to a different team than you play against.
Leavers in Quick Play need to be given a more serious penalty. The current set-up can wreck the whole game.

I agree. It’s one thing to leave matches every so often, but those that leave enough to trigger the penalty need actual incentive to stop leaving every other game.

easier to change challenges to PLAY instead if WIN
if you’re losing, you’re just going to leave to save time instead

I leave stomp matches if I’m on either side in quick match, it’s boring and a waste of time.

Better solution to leavers is better match making, and ability to veto maps.
I guarantee leaving will drop significantly.

Sorry but I’m leaving push maps. The maps are far too big and I don’t feel like walking 24/7

No. I want to leave every single Push game

Normally people are upset about their teammates leaving… Don’t think I’ve seen a thread about the unfairness of getting a new opponent before.

Play a game worth playing thru instead of a game where steamrolls are a fat majority of the matches. Why stay thru a poorly balanced match?

No please god, no more arbitrary bans for miniscule and unimportant things, if I need to leave a game because of responsibility let me leave for gods sake.

Teams can come back though. I’m sure your team wins as soon as you leave judging by your attitude.
I leave any game i feel is unfair, as the data helps blizzard identify problems in their game.

I disagree. I quit some matches that I know its pointless. Not because we’re going to lose, but because people are using things that they know it isnt working. I’m not waisting my time in a match to be spawncamp because we can’t do a thing due to a person unwilling to change the character.

Complete instead of Win
hell there should be a weekly challenge of not leaving 20 games in a row or something
I don’t think all leaving in QP is equally bad. If someone jumps ship after loading into a particular map or mode they don’t enjoy, that’s fair enough in my book. If someone’s on a team that’s getting stomped, then leaving means that their team has a chance of getting someone who can turn the game around, so that’s fairly harmless too.
Leaving a game three seconds before it concludes is annoying for the unfortunate who gets filled in. I’d rather have the backfill system tightened up so that it didn’t dump players into a VICTORY or DEFEAT screen followed by T-posing characters. But since they won’t (or can’t) do that, maybe a small penalty like a minute’s time-out from re-queuing for QP would do the trick.
If there is leaving penalty, qp is over

I mostly play QP. I find this common when the weekly reset happens. The Win condition is probably the cause.

I dunno, I play a lot of Doomfist in QP and quite a few times, boring a** teammates have just cried about it in all chat and then left the game. If you’re leaving QP matches because your team isn’t sticking to the boring meta every match, you need help
I often quit Quick Play now because I don’t want to lose and waste another 5 minutes of my precious life on a stupid system that pits pro players against casual (me) players. I play for fun after work, I don’t care about “improving my skill” - I don’t care, games are for fun, and if it’s not fun - why bother?
