Its never ever worth it to be in team chat or text chat. Life pro tip. Ping system and mute everything else. Maybe you get 1 out of 10 games with helpful, positive, charismatic teammates, but you wade through a bog of abuse to get there.

If someone is being toxic you have every right to report them. The functionality is there for a reason. There are threads made all the time of toxic players complaining about being banned, you’ll be doing the playerbase a favor by helping remove them from chat.

I’ve mostly been lucky so far, in that most of my games are quiet with nobody talking. Then there’s the rare two or so toxic games, and then one where we compliment each other.
I dunno, now that theres nothing binding people to one account since they botched the sms verification, people have all their troll accounts from ow1 back. Sure, new accounts can’t be freely created, but I don’t see consequences being that effective when the flood gates of alt/smurf accounts are open again.
