Game is predictable and boring

I only play QP but still. It’s so boring going on a predictable losing-streak of over 15 games and then a win-streak.

There is an issue but alot of people still climb because it affects both sides but go on :person_shrugging:. Forced 50/50 is a myth as ive always hovered around 55%

Climbing in quickplay?

Im sure your mmr still rises in quick play from playing well and winning no?

Yep. Comp is kinda the same, but it lasts longer.
I have personal solution for this – when you play - play one/two games per day. Leave if you won first or second game or after two losses. It might do wonders for your mentality

Yes but due to the loose matchmaking it may not make a difference.

Wait until you boil down life to just eating and pooping. Like there’s nothing else going on.

no sweet clue

My lifetime W/L in QP is not quite 50% and the games are a lot sweatier than they are in Comp, so who knows. It just finds whoever’s queuing at the same time and throws them into the ring

Just had a loss cause the widow didnt want to switch to help the team, we needed a bast/somb to finish off our win, they came back and won because our widow wasnt much help, and was getting owned.

It definitely feels like at times the game puts you in a losing position and then punishes you when you can’t win.

…Yes, but why do they have to resort to forcing losses and wins in quickplay to keep you close to 50% winrate? Who cares about qp winrate?

I’ll tell you what’s happening, but you won’t like it.
You win some, you are now a snowball. And you are now rolling. So the hill gets steeper. to compensate.
When you keep rolling, you will hit a wall.
That “wall” is people stacking. And the snowball effect doesn’t reset or something when you finally lose. So, when you keep getting handed smaller stacks and/or bigger “carries” to go against, it’s still too much and feels bad.
Then you get back to that spot, and the cycle starts again.
Congrats on finding your ceiling. It’s invisible, so I’m sure that’s cool.

I just try do my best regardless of result

But the matchmaking can try even harder

They dont 50/50 is a myth. I have never been at 50% winrate since the game released in any mode.

I bet you’re within 5% of it. The game mode tries to get you as close as possible.

You are correct 55% is where i hover. But if forced 50/50 was real id be much closer 50% after 1000+ hours of gameplay

Would defintely be higher if i wasnt a masochist playing sombra in ow 1 with a 44% win rate with more than 100 hours on her.

If you are predicting to have a 15 game lose streak, then I think thats a you problem

Blizzard sets about turning OW into a game of nothing but clicking on things with a computer mouse.

Achieves such.

Profit?

May I suggest a game of Cow Clicker?

If your win rate is 55% long term, you are being punished for losses more than you are rewarded for wins. You should be matched with tougher opponents, but for some reason the game doesn’t think you deserve it. This means you are not playing your hero the way the game is coded to reward play. Either the scoring is bad or your play is bad. Probably the scoring. Someone has hard-coded how they think you should play your hero and you aren’t playing it that way.

There are a great many things that would improve in this game if you were only scored on wins and losses. But nope. You are scored on HOW you win and lose, and that scoring includes coding errors and bad judgment of the developers.

IOW you aren’t being forced 50/50 win rate. You are being forced toward the smallest gain/loss of MR and SR. That WOULD BE a 50/50 win rate if the scoring was flawless. But it isn’t.
