Game is getting political in chat

Every match i found there are people talking about… that thing… i don’t want to start a conversation here, but…

Are we allowed to talk about it in game chat or we’re getting banned for it? After all, the game itself is about that. It’s about helping people that needs help.
I wish there was an actual real life overwatch… we need it

I thought this is what NATO is for

They don’t have an enraged scientist gorilla. Nato is sort of lame in comparison.

Doubt it unless people get racist, etc.

You are likely to get false-reported by other players though as many people want to play games to relax, not to worry about real-life events…

Pretty sure you can do whatever the hell you want in chat as long as you don’t abuse people.

It is a chat not a forum so people are free to discuss anything ingame as long as it is not toxic or advertising.

As was the case with BLM and Free Hong Kong, most have zero idea what they are talking about in reality and just think it’s hip to white-knight on topics where they get a buzz from ‘protest’ from some perceived underdog position. The ignorance in every case was stunningly profound once you started asking any questions or bringing up details about the topics. There is more than “people need help” going on here, perhaps educate yourself about all the details though before wading into the deep end of the pool.

You can talk about it, I and many will just tune you out.

You’ll prolly get reported by pro Russian bots, but beyond that I doubt there are any issues. Using everyday language to discuss political happenings should be fine from the EULA standpoint.

So yea, it all comes down to how much troll reports you get, since blizz won’t distinguish them and just auto ban regardless.

You said a whole lot of nothing

Not too hard to figure out who the bad guys are in this one, though, don’t you think?

sorry, kid. but thats what reality looks like: lame.

no power of friendship bs here. just dumb people doing dumb things. better get used to it.

Problem is NATO can’t really step in because Ukraine is not their territory, they voluntarily said no to NATO a long time ago, but if Russia invades Poland, or any neighboring NATO members, it will be a different story.

It’s really a screw up situation for everybody, yes, but as many people have said, the Forums is not for this discussion unfortunately. (It’s the only thing we’ve had to talk about besides complaining when OW2 comes out or complaining balance changes suck, but you know, rules are rules.)

NATO is as far away from Overwatch as it can be lol
Just check what NATO countries did for past decades.

There is no Overwatch-like entity in real world. More, international agreements strictly forbid such way of arbitration. This is also part of NATO problem imposed by NATO (Irony, lol)

You can… I don’t know why you would have that kind of discussion in an anonymous room with 12 strangers, but you wouldn’t get banned for it.

Just don’t hijack a Blizzard event with it or you’ll get banned per the ToS. (Same thing happened with the FreeHK fiasco, it wasn’t an issue of what the guy was saying just where he was saying it).
