⏩ Game: How do you imagine the Overwatch team in 10 years

As in when they are 10 years older, not a 10 year old game.

Rules:

  1. Assume lifespan does matter, after Mercy is a thing.
  2. Shipping is ok but keep it tasteful, i know someone is gonna go there…
  3. Heros/Villians/Characters not in the game but in the lore are fair game.

Examples"

D.va - I think in 10 years she would lose the whole k-pop star vibe and go full blown military either as captain of a team (not sure if she’s the leader of MEKA or not). She will keep training new MEKA pilots to keep Korea safe and guide them in battle.

Sombra - On the run from Talon. Someone got wise to her double crosses and now they are trying to stop their biggest breach of security.

Brigitte - Full blown overwatch member, and a high ranking one. Either overwatch being reestablish or working in secret she has completely taken over Reinhardt role.

Mercy and Ana realized Moira’s methods are more efficient and have brought her on Overwatch. And they both want a relationship with her.

Ana invites Pharah to join the newly reformed Overwatch after settling their differences, Pharah proves herself to be a bold, fearless leader in battle and gets promoted to strike commander. Ana’s proud of her and now they both fight together on missions just like Pharah always dreamed of as a child. And while in Overwatch she meets the love of her wife I mean life…

The newscast 10 years from now:

Reporter: It has now been two days since Mercy snapped and went on a shooting spree in the downtown mall. What caused this mental breakdown is still unclear, but a concerned friend claims she was muttering the words “I just wanted to help people” over and over again before the tragic events.

Mercy, who was captured by a task-force lead by Sombra, is now being treated in an undisclosed facility together with Symmetra and Torbjörn who had a mental breakdown earlier this year. Doctor Moira has declined to comment on the progress with the treatment, but rumors has it that this may not be the last of the mental breakdowns we see from Overwatch agents.

lol funny but what is to say her medical practices didnt have long term effects that mad her lose her sanity. Sombra isnt exactly a bad guy so she could become a good girl. :blush:

Bastion would be going strong, fully upgraded by Torb then brigitte most probably with a jetpack, working with the Overwatch team of that era. the mental scisms that plague the bastion of today would not trouble bastion as bastion can now use his original combat programming with his new life,

Bastion would most probably take the roles of forest/jungle recon and urban combat.

Favorite one liner: You look like a woodpecker to me.

If a game was based in that age Bastion would be voiced by Nicolas Cage

It’s not about lore, it’s about overwatch.

10 years from now? A lot of depends on how Second Omnic Crisis went. Let assume Talon lost, Omnics got destroyed and only few remain. “Eye” got shotdown.

Jack, Reaper and Reinhardt are dead. Torb and Ana retired for good and became advisors to new chief engineer Hammond and Second in Command Tracer. Phara become prominent Agent of OW and have prostetic left nipple leg as reminder of secrfices she sufferd during war. McCree stayed free lancer and does help Genji with spec ops missions. Speaking of him, he and Angela got together and work for OW to try make world right, her by being chief of medical reserch. Briggy became crusador and now train new recruits. Winston is Commander. Doomfist and Moira are in jail. Sombra hides in shadows. Widow is finishing her therapy and rehabilitation. Hanzo redeemed himself by helping OW in final battle. Now he lead his clan and helps rebuild Japan with help of Lucio -Vishkar CEO. Symmetra is on board of directors. D.va got engaged and became Korean President. Mei and Bastion are working on eco systems restoration. Zarya is new Putin. Zenny keep traveling and helping wherever he can. Efi joined Overwatch and helps with inventions and Orisa is chief of secuirity.

I think I got all of them… Oh right Junkers and Ashe. Roadhog died to heart attack. Junkrat blowed himself up in accident. Ashe is robbing trains.

Still protecting Busan, while just maybe, training new troops as she got promoted a couple months ago.
Oh yeah, she is still a workaholic.

Hammond
Probably dead by now. Hamster doesn’t live that long.

Orisa
Now has more than enough knowledge to help to protect the city on her own.
Efi looks really, really proud like a mother should :3

Reinhardt
71 years old Reinhardt.
Wants to fight but his body won’t let him.
So he trains Brigitte to become a full fledge Crusader.

Roadhog
I have no idea. He could either drop Junkrat or just leaves into the shadow.

Winston
Strike Commander Winston to be exacted.
Probably doing Jack’s work while still investing in science.

Zarya
Still fighting for the Russian Anti Omnic Front, and maybe training new troops.

DPS

Ashe
Probably training her protege by now.

Bastion
Probably still in the care of Torbjorn, and his PTSD is gone because of Torbjorn’s care.

Genji
Either traveling the world with Zenyatta or teaching the Nepali children.

Hanzo
Finally found peace and settle down in a cliche anime plot.

Mccree
Probably still wanted, but people love him more than the cops.
Also he might be alone in some bar some where in the world.

Mei
Still travel around the world with Snowball.
Maybe close to a breakthrough for the world enviroment crisis.

Pharah
She could go 2 ways. Either being the highest ranking commander of Helix or the new high ranking officer in Overwatch.

The Talon Troops (Doomfist/Widomaker/Reaper/Sombra):
Gone, MIA or KIA even. Nobody where they are now except for Moira who still works in Oasis.

Torbjorn
Probably retires and takes care of Bastion.

Tracer
Overwatch newbie trainers. While remember her first day as a newbie because she is that bubbly.

Soldier 76
Like good soldiers, he faded away…

Symmetra
Since Viskar is quite an oppressive company, she could either still blindly follows it or lead a revolution.
She already questions their motives in her comic, so if her revolution is a success, she will become the new head of the company and makes incredible and radicle changes that benefits everyone.

Support

Ana
Retired. Probably on a beach somewhere enjoying her life.
Or could be fighting with Jack.

Brigitte
The highest comander of the recently revived Crusader.
Or develop a much mobile and more effective Crusader armor. Still have the menacing looks while small/slim enough to move at great speed.

Lucio
His music leads to the world to recognize the wrongful ways of Viskar, and BOOM!
Revolution.
Now whether he can convice Symmetra or not is the real question, cause as of right now, they hate each other guts.

Mercy
World renowed doctor, who nanotech creates a break through in the world of medicine.
Also receive a box of Not Swiss chocolate from Nepal.

Zenyatta
See Genji.

Moira
Probably still working as a professor in Oasis.
And probably got a date (for more nepharious reasons :3)

I was imaginating the game not the lore.
But I would rather see a second war by Doomfist and a bunch of super warrior brawler new heroes that destroy all.

Well it is 10 years later. The Doomfist war might or might not happened.
And I went full lore creative for a good while. Been a while since I done that.
