Game difficulty increased all of a sudden

It feels like every match has gotten the difficulty leveled increased by 100 out of no where …

Whats going on

Perhaps it’s possible that a sudden decrease in players might result in the matchmaking system placing inappropriately matched players together.

(This is absolutely pure speculation.)

I was about to suggest the same thing, it could be a sudden drop in players which has skewed matchmaking more than usual temporarily.

Some more context? Any particular game mode/elo/region? And what time frame we talking about here

Then more info the better in case something actually did change in game

Could be more high ranked players buying new accounts to play in lower tiers with shorter queue times (if we are talking comp that is).

DId you switch from QP to comp btw

In my experience Comp messes up your QP MMR, but not the other way around

Was playing comp. Around 3100 all season then bam 10 game losing streak which at least 33% i recognized being outplayed no matter what i tried just stomped and the majority of the rest i notice my tanks were clueless or my healers were trying to backline dps.

Just been seeing really strong tanks like unkillanle hammond and enemy dooms shredding us. Mostly dooms. Like gm level dooms/hams u cant do anything then the whole team falls apart

First time ive dropped below diamond in a while

it’s smurfs, most active players have at least 2 accounts at this point.

My matches have gotten easier I dont know why but I am winning a lot more than I did 2 weeks ago.

Edit: I play mostly around 3.8 so I guess the theory about all good players playing on smurfs in diamond and plat still hold.

Something seems odd indeed. I keep losing for no obvious reason. -600 SR and counting. Dropped from Plat to Silver within a week … but then again, this happened before …

Working as intended I suppose.

Another speculation is some DPS players are exploring new roles in 2-2-2 that are having some trouble adjusting.

Another theory is that the player in the OP has entered a “band” of players that don’t play well together.

This could be it to some degree.

I also think that whenever a patch is about to drop players jump roles or play differently. Sometimes youre on the bad side of that coin.

We forget the times we go up 5-7 games with ease… more memorable and feels harsh when you on the losing side.

surprisingly i get faster queues on 3.6 (8-10 minutes) than in Plat (12 ~ minutes)
