my game just crashed during a comp match and now I’m the one being punished? this has happened so many times it’s getting annoying. the game freezes, and I have to restart my computer and boom 50 sr gone and a 10 min suspension. blizzard please fix your crap because I’m getting sick and tired if this happening.

Blizzard can’t tell if it’s crashing, or if you’re leaving or unplugging your computer. Play QP until you work out the issue. If you have technical issues you know about and are going into comp with them un-resolved… you’re at fault too.

Because there isnt a system that can detect what is a crash and what isnt, if there was then it would be abused, some players would find a way to make their game crash in the same way to avoid punishment.

I mean like, fix the crashing lmao not the like detection system.
It´s not always player´s fault.
Yesterday I had 4 people “kicked” from match at once and this was not the first time, when this happend. It was QP, it was not a stack and they were chatting and playing…I doubt they left just like that.
I got “kicked” like that few time, game was still running - no fault on my side.

What’s the cause of the crashing? internet blip? running out of vram? cpu error? running out of ram? What is the cause of the crashing?

Not always, I know. But if it’s regularly happening enough to need to make a thread, that’s something to take note of.
I mean… would you rather the other players get penalized for your hardware issues? 
Try and determine what is wrong with your computer mate! Going into comp games while knowing that your PC has issues and could crash at any moment is a dis-service to your team mates who then have to finish the rest of the game while being a player down.

tf? when did I ever say that. I’m saying blizzard should fix the crashing issues.
my pc is fine lol. this only happens in this game and before I had no issues with it. it started happening like 4 months ago.
There’s a 99% chance it’s on your end and hardware related. If you’re playing on max settings with a pc that can’t handle it- turn it down. Ram related problems can also cause lag and crashing. Check your ram using while playing in task bar, and if it’s super high that’s probably your problem.
If you have overclocks- remove them. Overclocking causes crashing if done improperly.
If you drop from the server but your game or internet doesn’t close that’s your internet- not the game.
Ive almost never crashed in this game aside from people abusing the mei bug back in the day to crash maps that they didn’t like. Blizzard servers drop sometimes and it’ll kick you back to the menu, but full out of game crashes I’ve almost never had happen. If it’s consistently happening it’s likely on you, and something you’re doing/did wrong hardware wise.

I haven’t had a game crash in 3 years or so.
It’s a problem with your software/hardware.
Your PC is not fine. When you say that you need to restart computer you mean that the PC stops being responsive. Another chance is that the graphic driver crashes and it can’t recover from it, but it should still be responsive.

it could also be completely running out of RAM and bogging down to a page file, which could take a while to sort out by the system. But yeah, that sounds like a local hardware issue.

What I meant is that if the system is not responsive it’s a software/hardware problem. Could be anything, could be a cpu undervolting at the wrong moment, power delivery issue from the PSU/mobo, RAM, software lock coming from what you said, etc.

the crashes are 99% on your end. could be caused by a lot of things; bad drivers, faulty hardware etc. your best bet is to take matters into your own hands, blizzard wont troubleshoot your computer for you. i recommend making a post in the Technical Support part of the forum. the technical support there is actually very helpful and might help you find the cause of the crashes.

Console is more difficult to play on than PC. I understand.
And yet you dare to risk 5 others Sr and 11 others enjoyment over you trying to fix your computer?
If this was on owl on blizzards own tournament systems, your request might be valid…
Blizzard is not accountable for your pc, it’s only you, and blizzard is punishing you for playing comp on a unstable pc, which always puts your mates in danger.
