All are shells of their former selves. There was a time when they would have all been at the top of a list of best game developers.

Bioware maybe will reddem themselves with ME4… or will join the EA graveyard.
Bethesda isnt all that bad. Yean fallout4 story sucked and f76 was a slap to the face. But they are huge, they made doom eternal which was dumb fun. And Starfield might be a fun wanderlust romp.
Bungie is hostage to destiny2 live service, it feels like they cant do anything else.
And blizzard… is probably the worst of the bunch. Maybe they will redeem themselves with diablo4, i would be lying if i said i am not hyping that. Starcraft is dead, rest in peace. Warcraft cant be anything else than WoW since they botched war3 reforged and yeah only diablo is on track. Overwatch is… well… around, trying to be relevant again.
Doom Eternal was good but they also ruined Wolfenstein with Youngblood. Aside from the Doom games Bethesda hasn’t made anything truly great since Skyrim.
Its true. Starfield is their shot at being back as the open world kings.
And we all know that everyone will flock to them when they release elder scrolls 6.
So they have real chance of being back on their feet.
Just for fun, my ranking of possible redemption for those companies:
1- Bethesda, they will release Starfield and I am sure it will be a success and also as soon as they show a new elder scrolls people will go crazy.
2- Bioware, yeah i am putting all my eggs on ME4, i love the trilogy and i think they will want to get it right after andromeda and anthem.
3-Blizzard - it is all about diablo. It can put them back on track. The valheim alike game they are developing has chances of being interesting as well.
Still my wet dream would be a full remake of diablo1, focusing less on making an Arpg and more like a Survival horror, with Tristam as hub like the city from Darkest Dungeon1.
4-Bungie - really it feels like if they allocate a bit of workforce to another project they will not be able to support destiny 2. Its the sucessful live service curse. You are now stuck with it…
kinda like how epic will only care about fortinite and because of that we will never see another Unreal Tournament (this makes me sad)
I agree about Elder Scrolls. Still not sold on Starfield though. It looks an awful lot like No Mans Sky and I am not a fan of that game.
Bioware has lost most of the key developers that were responsible for their older games. I’m not sure the studio has enough talent to make a great game again.
Agreed. Diablo 4 is gonna sell like hotcakes because there is nothing else quite like it out there. That is the one franchise Blizzard still has some goodwill left with.
It sucks because Destiny 2 is a literal chore to play. The gameplay is incredible, but I don’t see how people can login daily just to complete a checklist. I don’t get how they got tired of making Halo and decided that they wanted to make another sci fi FPS instead only with crappier story and multiplayer.

I’m still kinds holding out hope for the New Dragon Age from Bioware. I loved inquisition, though the base game was pretty meh on story.
Yeah, and the fact they stepped down from the idea of making dragon age4 a live service already shows some lessons learned from them.
I am not that hot on the dragon age franchise but its harmless. Its a wannabe baldur gate, which Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous already gives me that fix.
I’m bummed we never got a Jade Empire sequel. There are already more than enough fantasy RPGs. There’s nothing else out there like JE.
