In Stadium it says I should be gaining 125/150/175 % progress, but I only receive around 20 ish. for a win. Then during a Loss I can lose up to 100%. I won two games in Pro 5 Rank which should have gotten me to Pro 2 atleast. However it didn’t even get my out of Pro 5… I then lost a game and got demotion protected for -100%… How am I supposed to rank up to All-Star Rank for the Juno skin if its going to take 25 wins in a row to go through Pro 5 - 1?
All because I lose more Rank progress than I gain when I shouldnt :c
This has happened since the beginning but in Pro it genuinely feels impossible with the fact that you lose more than you gain. 25 wins to get through pro? whilst 1 loss can put me into demotion protection?

Same here! i had similar issue in contenders, where i was winnin 125%-175% and it was actually maybe 20 or a bit more, when i reached elite tho, not only having same issue, but also losing crazy amount of % compared to the win %, even if it still said 125%-175%, i deranked to contenders again and i just dont think ill be able to get the juno skin…

i know the juno skin isn’t the most flashy or really legendary quality but i main juno and really want to have it for my collection, so its such a shame i wont be able to get it. In total im probably missing around 700% as this has definitely happened atleast 7 times now… by that rate i should already be in all-star rank.

ok so i was having this exact same issue, i main support, from contender to elite i was gaining around 1-2 ranks a win, but since i got to pro 5 i gain like 10 % of the rank, i thought its maybe due to not having performed well but after 3 wins and im still in pro 5, they need to address this issue as it seems like its going to take forever just to make it to legend

Do we know if this is intentional or a bug? I keep reading claims of both and it’s confusing as this issue is affecting me as well. If it’s intentional, it seems so strange to keep the advertised skin well out of reach of most players who genuinely invest time.

Replying to this since my post saying the same thing didn’t really get much traction. I am Pro 4 and when I lose I get nearly 2/3 of the rank xp bar deducted, but when I win I get like half an inch’s worth of the bar filled. So when I lose I get deranked basically every time but it takes me endless wins consecutively to get out of a rank into the next. 
I just want the Juno skin.

On OWs own post explaining stadium they said that after Pro rank, wins and losses will be worth the same or similar amounts of SR. So it isn’t intentional that this is happening

exactly the same! It’s been going on for weeks and hasnt been fixed yet so im wondering if they are going to compensate their players?
they should just change it to Pro rank with this bug effecting so many players of the community. which is a lot easier than figuring out who needs to have rank progression added to their account.
Okay, for one of these things, in higher ranks, it takes significantly more than 100 to level up. I believe in contenders and elite it takes 200, and pro+ is 400 or 500 points per rank. The fact that this isn’t explained at all in game sucks, as it is very confusing, and the fact that they use percentages further confuses this. But the higher ranks are much larger in size, thus taking more wins to rank up.
As for the losing more than you gain, as far as I know this is a purely visual bug. If you keep track of where you were before the match, you can see it’s actually deducting/adding only as much as it should be, despite showing on the end game screen that it isn’t. As far as I know, this visual bug mostly happens when you go down a rank. i.e. if you are pro 4 and lose points to reach the range of pro 5 (even if you have demotion protection and are technically still pro 4), it will incorrectly highlight the entire bar red as if you lost an entire ranks worth of points. I recommend ignoring this visual entirely and just checking your rank before and after in the “stadium progress” screen until this is fixed. You should see that in pro rank, a win gives you a bit less than a quarter of a rank’s worth of progress I believe (I’d have to calculate the exact percent), and a loss deducts about the same amount. There is no change based on performance or anything, this ranking system only considers wins and losses, and whether those wins were consecutive below pro rank.
If any of that doesn’t make sense I can try to reexplain or possibly try to get screenshots to show that better.
Of course if you have proof you are actually losing more points than should be, feel free to show that and report it.
I have images that show its not just a visual bug! I was one win away from Pro 3 after winning like 4-5 in a row… But I lost the game and it went straight back down into Demotion Protection…
As I mentioned in my first post I cannot post pictures or links on the forums yet. But these photos have been shown to customer support who told me its a bug.
It also mentions you are getting 125 rank progression and losing 100 and actually lose 100 but dont gain 125. If it was just a visual bug all it would take is for them to change the numbers.
I would also like to re-iterate that I spoke to Customer Support and they told me it WAS a bug.
I have been checking known bugs for a while now and not seen anything about this even being recognized by the dev team.
Ah, I genuinely have no idea then. Maybe it is genuinely happening to some people. I just know from my experience sometimes it looked like I was losing an entire rank, but when I actually kept track between games, I never actually lost more than I was supposed to. I wouldn’t be surprised if at least a decent amount of the time other people are also just seeing the visual bug, and assuming it is accurate when they are not actually losing that much (because they shouldn’t have to assume it’s broken). Not saying it isn’t happening at all, just that I think some of the time the issue might be visual depending on the player, and tracking your ranked points closely might allow some of those affected by only the visual bug to feel better.
Of course I’d love to see the screenshots, but it clearly isn’t possible, so I’ll have to take your word for it. Also would love if we could get a dev in here, but in my experience, they’ve never actually looked at any of my posts so idk. Seems like bug report forum becomes a “popularity” thing to actually get your issue looked at, or your issue only gets looked at if it directly involves the shop. Genuinely they need to run this better. I’d love to help more, but I’m just a random player lol.
So there is a new update and in the patch notes it states that they “fixed a visual issue causing rank progress bar to show incorrect stadium points after a match”
Just finished my first game of a win and the same issue still persists…
