Can’t tell if you’re trying to mock me, or trying to prove some ridiculous point. Either way, my opinion is that Reyes feels like a father figure to Genji, even if theres not that much interaction we still don’t officially know their relationship. So really, it’s just an opinion. 
Their intention was saying that it is not really a useful link to make. One makes bombs and doesn’t trust omnics, the other makes bombs and doesn’t trust omnics. Torbjorn isn’t a father figure of Junkrat. It feels like this thread exists just so you could make the joke that both were “edgy.”
Reaper appears to have had a closer relationship with McCree than he did with Genji. The two aren’t shown to communicate much, aside from Genji agreeing with some of Reyes’ decisions in Retribution. But if there was something substantial, I would assume they would have more than 0 interactions.

they barely had any interactions but I kinda agree tho, Blackwatch really resembles the Addams Family in some ways.
I know it’s a popular thing within the fandom that Gabriel basically adopted Genji and McCree. And while I get the McCree part, I never agreed with the Genji part.
Unlike McCree (as far as we’ve seen), Genji had a father. A father he was in a good relationship with, presumably. A father who recently died, straight after which Genji was “murdered” by his brother. That is a lot of cr*p to live through in a short period of time. I wouldn’t be surprised if Genji was still mourning his father when the duel took place. Gabriel immediately stepping in a becoming a substitute just wouldn’t work.

Yeah, don’t disagree but an opinion is an opinion, I just love my to much.
i’m a writer and i spend all day arguing on opinions… i guess it’s not a problem to have them, but if you’re going to put them in a public forum, they’d ought to be defensible. like, “they’re both edgy” just isn’t really substantial grounds for discussion. making low substance statements on mere opinions that have little to back them up doesn’t constitute a worthy place on the board, it feels more akin to an instagram post.
Mechavomit and DoctorSix make good points about why this wouldn’t really fit the story of Overwatch.

Yeeeaaa no. Not even close. Genji doesn’t even call Gabriel by his last name, just his title of Commander. If Reyes wasn’t his actual commander, by all rights Genji would’ve stabbed the person who made the above comment.
