Fullscreen only fills 1/4 of the screen

Hi! This is my first time playing Overwatch on PC (1000 hours on the Switch), and I’ve already encountered a very interesting issue.

So, as the title says, setting the game to fullscreen will only fill 1/4 of the screen as shown in the two photos linked below. Windowed works fine, and also borderless windowed. However, I cannot use neither of the two as they incur a MASSIVE fps drop.

It should be noted that my monitor (55" TV… actually) is 4K, but I have also tried setting Windows’ resolution to 1080p (as shown in the second photo) with no success.

Are you using the supported resolutions AND refresh rates on the TV itself? Also, an integrated GPU broadcasting to a TV doesn’t seem like a recipe for a good gaming experience, but YMMV.

Hey there ppGabe,

I’m thinking this is due to Windows Scaling when in fullscreen. The steps here should fix it if that’s the case:

  1. Open the Windows Settings by pressing the Windows key on your keyboard and clicking the cogwheel
  2. Click on System.
  3. Click on Display.
  4. Under the “Scale and layout” section, use the drop-down menu and select 100%

If there’s still a problem, could you provide a DxDiag file please? Once you have it, just copy the contents of the text file created and paste it here between two ~~~ like so:

DxDiag Here

If you have issues pasting here, use Pastebin and post the end of the link. (ie. 123456 for pastebin.com/123456)
