Really wish devs could actually fix matchmaking… so tired of going on random losing streaks because the matchmaker craps out…

It was me smurfing in gold as GM, bro, you didn’t even notice, right? Blizzard have made a nice MMR system, you know. Now all the ranks are fake in profiles.

That’s impossible idiot. Masters can only play at the lowest, platinum players. Someone lied to you and skill checked you. Git gud.
Well no, because you could stop playing on a Master account for 5 seasons, and then you’d be ranked bronze, but you’d still have a master MMR, so the game would still place you in master games.

It’s not the matchmaker “crapping out.” It’s working as intended.

Imagine calling someone an idiot and being wrong yourself. It has to be utterly embarrassing.
This has happened to many players and even to top streamers. Happen to Samtio, he had a gold player on his team in a GM game.
You cannot queue up with someone that low but matchmaking can match you with a much lower rank and will base off of MMR not SR.
Stop insulting complete strangers, grow up and be a better human being.

I literally just won a game because my team mate was a master widow last season with over 400 games played. His SR decay this season brought him to low plat. everyone in the lobby was about 2200-2700 SR. (his peak SR not even more than a month ago was near grand master)
He absolutely stomped everyone in the lobby and we didn’t even pocket him. 30 elims 1 death vrs other team with 6 elims total.
SO no, it’s not impossible with rank decay.
EDIT: and no it was not master in some other role like tank or support, it was DPS.
