Full hitscan ana

if we made ana’s rifle completely hitscan i feel that would be a pretty considerable QoL change for her without it being under or over powered.

i cant be the first one to mention this but still I haven’t seen it come up especially with the incoming ana Buff. Is there something I’m missing?

It would be a buff. You’re talking about buffing her.

(Still wouldn’t be enough to bring her back into the meta, though.)

It would make her scope pointless. Why would you ever scope in if it was always hitscan? Plus any buff like this that makes her a lot easier to play I’m against, so no I don’t think this is a good idea.

It beeing projectile helps you do prediction shots though

I think that would only make her a slightly better healer while making her a spectacular damage dealer.

Plot twist, ever buff makes a hero “easier” to play because it makes them better. But if you are against buffs you can enjoy trashtier Ana forever

If not Hitscan, at least faster. Sometimes you need to predict even at kiss range, and it’s frustrating. I’d better launch the needles with my own hands at this point.

Ana is fine. If she’s trash when you play her, that’s a you problem.

It doesn’t even have to be hitscan, just reduce/remove the wind up and maybe speed up the projectile a little bit. People might miss a little more at the beginning as they get used to the new feel, but it the long run it would easier to land more sleep darts. If not, can we please reduce the CD to maybe 11 or 10 seconds? It’s one of the few things Ana has to defend herself and it’s fairly difficult to use consistently. (Grenade is on a 10 second cool down, and forget trying to fight a duel in anything closer than mid range.)

Second ult “Awakening” nau! Ana takes off her eye patch with a shining yellow eye, gets the nanoboost effects on herself during it! (Including hitscan weapons and faster reload)

You can test this change by maximizing the projectile speed in a custom game.

semi off-topic but this is how I tested genji with shuriken that move 80m/s and that’s a change that should happen. What’s funny is that ana’s projectiles move at 130m/s and you think they need to move faster. Imagine ana was a dps and her projectiles moved less than half the speed they currently do. That’s life for genji. Ana does not need projectile speed increase I don’t think. You should utilize quick scoping more if you need the hitscan healing.

She is the third worst hero in game based on winrate, while heroes of the relatively same difficulty are way higher. The only thing you can say in her defense is that Winston is the second worst - which is a bit puzzling to me TBH.

Winrate doesn’t really mean much when she’s unarguably among the hardest heroes in the game to play. People think they are good enough to play ana, people play ana entirely wrong, all of this contributes to a skewed winrate. You get dps mains(at all levels of play) who have to flex heals and they refuse to pick anyone but ana because of their “high skill” ego, yet all they can do is aim and maybe not even on ana. Despite the fact that aiming is only one tiny but essential aspect of her kit, aim alone will not make an ana win.
