Are we really wanting to draw in the Halo, Fortnite, Apex, TF2 crowd? Do we really think they won’t be lopsided towards dps?

You can bet it will. Having absurd number of dps heroes also won’t make the things any better.

Yeah, something tells me someone without the patience to save $20 isn’t going to have the patience to wait 10 minutes for a match.

It all depends on they balance out tank and support. If it’s as dismal playing them in OW2 as they are in OW1, chances are most people would want to play pew pew heroes instead.
So it will be interesting to see how especially tank pans out.

It’s why new tanks and maybe even supports are a bit dps oriented.
But why one earth would a dps play play diet dps when the real thing is right there? That has always been the problem.
Cause each char has different playstyles?
It’s why Junker queen is so dps-oriented, similar to hog. Even Zen/Bap/Ana does disgusting dps when they hit.
As long it does good damage, doesn’t really matter if the role’s a tank/support.

Yes, yes it does. Dps and tank just fictionally do two very different things. Playing a tank like a dps is straight up negligent to your team.

Making the other roles dps oriented will only deepen the problem.
Because you then have “true” dps heroes and “pseudo” dps heroes, and of course people will go for the real thing.

And? Doesn’t really matter, so long people picked them up and use them. Queue will be fine.
If they learn to tank in the process, that’s even better. The whole point is to get DPS to get into tank role by appealing to their DPS senses.
All that does is deleted tanking as a concept from the game. That does matter a lot actually. And y’all wonder why tank players have fled.
Let’s also remember that is tanks and dps have similar queue times, that mean there are actually half as many tanks as dos. That is how 1-2-2 work.
So it sounds like to me they are pissing on tank players and banking on dps players to replace them

People always want to try new things and if it appeals to them, even better. If the playstyle appeals to them, regardless of role, then people will pick them up. Especially if they do DPS.
Zen/Ana/Bap for example, can sometimes really lay out the damage, and if people get good at them, they’ll outperform most DPS heroes.
I mean, yes? Tank players will never fill up the quota.
So that’s why they’re banking on DPS players to replace them and making fat dps instead of tanks.
Which is a good decision, since that way, they can now move to make more supports that are hybrid dps like Zen/Moira/Ana/Bap.
The TF2 crowd has Heavy and Medic mains tho

Well, then only GM and above will play the game, because i know very much the skill level of plat and below(80% of the playerbase), and they are far from outperforming DPS
And it’s not like the actual dps will expect any less healing or tanking. Are people going to stop flaming dps Moiras? Or demanding shield tanks?
