I know this is an utterly stupid idea, but imagine if everything had friendly fire, ok some exceptions apply like you can shoot through your own barrier, Soundbarrier, Inspiration and co only hits your team and so on
Even heals can hit the enemy, ults can hit your own team

So cutting the Support to only Ana and Juno, because any AoE healing would heal the enemy, and DPS focused supports would hurt your team. Poor Brig cant use her flail anymore without teammates complaining. Sounds like a bad idea.

many shooters have a ‘hard-core’ mode with friendly fire turned on.
overwatch is too chaotic to have it be a regular thing, but it’d be funny and fun for a week or two.

I can finally just kill my Widowmaker teammate instead of building a wall in front of her.
She still won’t switch but at least one of us will be happy.
I would not think for 2 seconds if I had a mercy and illari in my team.
with FF you could no longer play Junkrat, Winton, Symmetra, Torb, Moira, Maybe Rein… I mean you could play these toons but they all have strong enough aoe that it would be a detriment to the team with it on. Maybe if FF didnt kill your team mates but just only dmged them it could be fun i suspose just teams would have to not be so grouped.
Would also turn the whole game into poke only metas, couldn’t play brawl or dive without risking killing your own team half the time.

It would be better in the regular game mode that everyone had a legitimate way to punish allies, just like LW’s grip.

I think the catch should be its a Deathmatch game, so everytime you kill a teammate, you get -1 point.
Not sure if friendly fire is a good idea. Counterstrike has it, but Valorant doesn’t and it’s still a popular game. So it doesn’t seem like friendly fire really improves the game. Also, with how chaotic and team-dependent this game already is, it’ll just add even more layer of frustration to the game.
You can already get griefed by mei’s ice wall and life weaver’s life grip, I don’t think we need more ways to accidentally/intentionally grief our teammates.
Definitely something that would be hilarious for a few minutes at least. The potential for abuse and frustration at AOE everything doing unintended stuff would never make it into base game… but I’d try it a few times for the ha ha’s.
