Don’t worry, supports aren’t having any better time with her, so I’m right there with you. She’s Moira levels of noskill, but with the impact of a good Genji
Me too I randomly find myself as Kiri with a random explosive arrow in my chest. I either have to waste my 14 sec cd suzu on her primary fire (primary fire btw, no cd aside from a very fast reload) or I just have to wait behind a wall where I can’t heal my team or shoot the enemy coz los. God forbid I play a different support with no self sustain, then it’s just like I’m out of the team fight for like 40% of a match coz I’m just waiting for my hp to regen. This is the sombra effect, removing someone from a team fight (distracting them or killing them) with extremely little effort.
Honestly, when I’m on tank I’ve really grown to dislike Freja. I don’t play D.Va (I wouldn’t be able to play D.Va anyway) but down here in plat, I’ve been seeing Frejas take advantage of their verticality more and more, and I feel like I don’t have a satisfying answer for it.
My best bet feels like Ram’s detonation major perk combined with the wizard staff, but that’s unavailable until a good way into the game. As far as rolling out of the door with a maidenless character, it seems like it’s Sigma or bust. I like Sigma and all, but I don’t like feeling forced to play as him.
I’ve begun slotting Freja into my ban list if I’m going to be tanking. Others are way ahead of me; I’m seeing her get banned more and more.
After spending more time in the modes, Freja is indeed extremely toxic to the game, I finally faced a few good ones and they didnt even let me peak or even get to peak, her damage is nuts.
She & Soujorn make it unfun to play tank in 6v6. The constant damage. The sound when the arrow stick on your face. When u think you are close to getting them. They escape easily. Why they add strong damage on mobility heroes. Screw this sadistic devs.
Don’t worry, it wouldn’t help. Because of D.Va’s enormous critbox those arrows always do max damage. It’s very difficult to dive a Freja. She basically eats so much of your HP that you can’t without dying if her positioning isn’t terrible.
D.va really isn’t phased by Freja. Thanks to Defense Matrix, you can repeatedly block out every Take Aim shot, and Freja telegraphs pretty well on them.
Already had one.
Though, yeah, Quick Dash really needs to be on a longer cooldown. There’s no reason why it gets to be shorter than Hanzo’s Lunge, considering what it does. Feeling like 5 seconds per charge, probably isn’t enough, and should be closer to 6 seconds for each charge.
yeah and then leave yourself open for every other cooldown in the game because you spent it all on a character than can use their right click 4 times in a row
Usually, it’s better to use cooldowns on your biggest threats, eliminate them, and shift or rotate towards lesser threats. This is where you learn how to prioritize targets; like that Sentry Bastion that blows away Tanks.
If only there was a hero who was adept at assassination and disrupting the back line so players could not sit back and free fire into tanks and supports all day. One that could move to high ground easy and make the freja so paranoid that they couldn’t just hide in the back line all day.
Sure would be nice to have a hero like that right?
I haven’t played that much this season but my initial expression is that you’re taking damage like you have a cass fth straight in your face. But its from 20m+ meter away.
But my main tank picks, ball and sig, both works pretty well against her. Ball can close the distance and her hitbox and movement isn’t that hard for his guns. Sig can mitigate a lot, get a lot of overhealth from attacks and if you drop shield before the bolts explode you save a bit of shield hp over time.
I wouldn’t want to play most other tanks against her, feels like you would be a big ult battery and support resource drain.
