I don’t really know anything about RS Siege. Never tried it, and watched a few streams about 4 years ago.
I don’t think it will magically fix everything. I do think it has its benefits.
There’s a possibility it could happen, although I’m against bans, I’d like to keep a reasonably open mind there’s something that could be helpful in it. Maybe not outweighing the absence of having it.
It’s glory days ended a long time ago. It was a good game for a period of time and then Operation Health happened (basically the Rainbow 6 equivalent of the Season 9 patch). Now it’s just an unbalanced mess not even worth watching.
I was more so referring to Freedo when I said that, since most of his opinions are misinformed delusions.
Support feels a ton better for me in 6v6 because just the threat of another tank peeling slows down flankers. Every game I’ve played in 6v6 has been orders of magnitude less stressful, whether it’s on Support, tank or DPS.
I know, you made it pretty clear you were talking about him.
The reason I said that was to further illustrate I don’t agree with his view on bans, but still think something good can come from it. Maybe not necessarily from a game system stance, but from the mentality of some in the community. There’s no way to tell unless it happens.
Who listens to Freedo at all?
Didn’t he top out at Diamond?
People listen to Freedo and Stylosa for OW content and advice because they have good “radio voices”, pump out tons of content (whether it’s good or bad) and made friends with some of the big streamers that actually play in high ranks, so they sometimes make appearances on their videos, but these two popular content creators are Diamond players at best and move back fourth between Diamond and Plat.
It’s not that they can’t have good ideas or concepts, but a lot of their takes are very poor. In fact, I suspect the more controversial their opinion is, the more clicks it generates on their videos. They even kind of cater to lower rank players to some degree (or more likely, they just share the same bad opinions because of lack of skill and understanding and it’s a much bigger audience that will watch, like, comment, ect.).
They are YouTube content creators first and barely mid rank OW players way down the list.
I watched the video and what was his reason for wanting it again? He definitely doesn’t think it’s better. Because he seemed to be basically pooping on 6v6 for an hour straight.
Or maybe he’s aware that just because 6v6 is more “fun” doesn’t mean it’s the right choice for the long term success of the game. Doesn’t matter how fun a mode is if queue times are 20 minutes.
Yeah I play mostly brig which biases my opinions a lot obviously since she’s
Good at dealing with flankers anyway and
Bad at dealing with tanks for the most part
In 5v5 I can just kinda hold an angle but in 6v6 doing that puts you too much at risk of getting rolled by a tank most of which are just better at close range than brig.
