Framerate drops after season 13 update

I have experienced a lot of frame rate drops after season 13 update, mainly during shooting barrier, juno hyper ring, ram/juno/kiriko ult, etc. My laptop can run the game at 144 fps without issue, but when those vfx heavy ability/ult ar used, framerate starts drop severely. I’m running the game on a nivdia rtx3050 card if this helps.

I’m getting the same, used to run game on 144 with no drops but after updating it dips to 70 every 2 seconds or so and have no idea why. really annoying because I’ve had the same settings since 2018 and now i have to lower them significantly in hopes of fixing an issue caused by blizzard (as usual)

Does lower the setting solve/address the issue for you? I have changed very graphic setting to low, or revert the graphics driver back to previous version, both didn’t work.

not really, but resetting game has worked sometimes, im not sure the consistency bc ive only played for 2 sessions of this patch and both times i had frame issues and only one of the times did resetting fix it

I’m getting the same since the MHA updaate. It’ll freeze when tabbing in and randomly in game. I go from 400+ fps to 0 and it’s just feeling laggy even though connetion is fine.

I get the same on PS5

I experienced similar scenario that the fps drop getting worse over my playing session, the game also eat up all my ram, probably a memory leak issue?

I’m getting horrible frame rate first game or 2 after turning it on. Reminds me of a year or 2 ago, thought they had solved it.
Using a Radeon 6500xt, i think could be shader caching issues or something.

Thanks for the reply. I will check shader cache setting see if that helps.

Same here, on a brand new PS5.

Used to be able to play the game on 60fps consistently, but since the new season started i literally can’t play the game at all. My game just freezes every 5 seconds. I tried going into prac range first to load everything before a game to see if that fixes it but nish
