Frame drops on PS5

There is still frame drops on select hero phase and when Victory/Defeat appears at the end of match on PS5 version.

Same thing is happening to me and my group. Also happens when the match ends.

Same thing for me. Additionally, it stutters briefly during gameplay but not as strong as those fps drops.

Even worse after the patch guys. for me it’s literally unplayable rn. can only play moira.

Hero select framerate drops on balanced mode haven’t been fixed since season 6 or 7. I have an LG OLED with VRR and the fps drops so hard VRR shuts off(below 48fps)

Either season 8 or 9 introduced BIG fps drops the moment anyone selects/swaps heroes. This is on the 120fps mode too. You know someone switches since the game stutters.

These issues have been going on for a WHILE with no acknowledgment they’re even a thing. It gets worse with each season

I noticed during mid fight too.

Yesterday I played a round on Antarctic Peninsula. The FPS mode seemed to have switched to like 40ish fps through and through during teamfights. then fps drops at the start of a round where I can’t even pick a character. I left the game when that happened, some games I played with a friend yesterday we both got kicked out of the lobby and guess what, we got a 2hours ban from playing because we left enough games in our past 20 because of said issues. this is abyssmal.

so they did some maintenance yesterday, and it totally messed things up for me. My game is lagging like crazy, and my ping is all over the place, jumping from 30 to 700. It’s driving me nuts

It’s terrible. And I dont get why moderators haven’t answered yet…

Game has been unplayable for me since a few days. No problems with other games or whatsoever, so it’s def the game that’s lagging.

The situation still remains on my end, and i already got removed from many matches cause of it.

I’m getting this issue, desperate for a solution. I can’t even character select at the beginning of a round and keep getting kicked from games. It mostly goes away after the first minute, but there’s still a lot of frame drops throughout gameplay.

I’ve also been experiencing these FPS drops :disappointed:

Where:

  • character select screen
  • victory/defeat screens
  • occasionally in game

What happens:

  • The character select screen: lags for around 10 - 15 seconds before settling down.
  • The victory/defeat screen: lags bad until the POTG runs.
  • During gameplay, drops in FPS are rare and brief (almost like something is loading?)

So far I’ve noticed that the issue tends to get worse the longer the game has been running, and that restarting the game seems to alleviate the issue for some time.

Absolutely unplayable tonight. Weird, because it’s been fine for weeks once that awful season launch on PS5.

Can’t play highlights either. Slow navigating main menu. Trying to select characters when a game loads is hilarious/tragic.

Having the same issues here in the UK. Lagging like CRAZY. Characters flying over the map, under the map, through walls… only over the past few days.
Completely unplayable.
