Frame drops after model load

I updated to the latest patch. Didnt notice till I was in game that my frames were only capping at 23. Normally I can get the sweet 60fps. I restarted my pc, updated my graphics drivers and made room on my C drive. I changed a few settings to see if that had any effect. I can play other games fine and do not see this issue.
Graphics card is a Radeon RX560.
I played the game fine just 2 days ago, which leads me to believe this issue was introduced in the latest patch.
One key note is with the FPS counter on I can get 60fps until the in game models load. From that point its 23 fps and very laggy/slow game functions. Even just navigating the menu with mouse is slow

FIXED UPDATE: Following the instructions from here: battle net/support/en/article/24142 (sorry cant put links)
Its now fixed. I have no idea what cause this. These settings were not touched in half a year.

I’ve been having this issue for a while. Sometimes the first minute or two of the first game the frame rate is 20ish while I assume its loading assets, and then I’m back up to 100+. Doesn’t make much sense, since its on a SSD.

Update: I updated my bios, disabled and enabled my graphics card under device manager.
The characters model definetly trigger the frame drops. During preload of the game and loading of maps I can see my counter at 60fps.
As soon as a character model loads it drops to 23-30. I can upload a recording of this if thats any help

i have the same problem, nad i tried the battle net article and it still didn’t do anything. When i start the game i am at 150-180 fps as soon as models load its drops to 30 and stays there ,when i go into a match i have during the loading screen 60 fps and then it goes down to 30 again in the select screen. Also Overwatch is the only game where i have this problem.

I would check and maybe reset any defaults on any apps which affect your graphics/display. I assume that latest update might have only affected a niche set of people
