Need help and google didnt help
Have 2 problems and they seem to be related
•Massive FPS drops in overwatch
•Maxed out GPU core clock and memory clock even after restarting computer/doing nothing (is it meant to be like this? GPU usage seems to be fine and not always 100% and 0% when doing nothing)
So i recently bought a 144hz monitor and a GTX 1060 3G wanting to improve my aim in overwatch but i am getting massive FPS drops. im talking about from 154 FPS to 70 FPS while in a match all in low settings
-here is some info
•all drivers up to date. also reinstalled GPU driver
•Virus scanned
•Power settings all set to High(Performance)
•Tried all ultra settings in overwatch but the FPS is still the same
•Annoying pop up only when in fullscreen in overwatch-
“Windows has detected your computer’s performance is slow. This could be because there are not enough resources to run the Windows Aero color scheme. To improve performance, try changing the color scheme to Windows 7 Basic. Any change you make will be in effect until the next time you log on to Windows”
•Playing other games like street fighter 4 is fine
•GPU seems to be maxed out all the time even after a restart.
•Using chrome to watch twitch makes the stream stop every 3 seconds for 1 second (twitch works fine with firefox) also
chrome randomly freezes sometimes for 1 min for no reason(has this problem with every computer i had though)
•Tried disconnecting all other monitors but the 144hz and still the same result
•overclocking core memory with afterburner seems to help the FPS drop a bit but still can drop to as low as 90 FPS
•Temperatures of CPU and GPU while in game is only about 60 celcius while overclocking
•everything else runs fine
