FPS dropping again after patch

That’s the only thing the patch changed in the game. GG.
I think I will swap to Paladins asap, also my steering wheel for codemasters formula 1 was getting dusty, time to get some fun back.

Performance issues are not limited to competitive play.

Maybe you should explain your issue in the tech support forum instead of making a pointless “I’m leaving” post in the competitive section.

Paladins :)) i think this is a troll topic

Check your settings. I found my Graphics settings got reset for some reason with the latest patch.

They maybe won’t care, but every little grain of sand together makes a desert. See you in a couple of months, my friend.

Wait, so, are you saying you’re a grain of dust? Because, how would dust leaving Overwatch make Overwatch a desert? Or are you saying your, “look at me everybody,” post is a grain of dust?

Your saying needs work.

Corrected with sand.
BTW back to the topic it’s unbelievable that the game drops fps suddenly after a patch. When you are in the thick of a fight and you get from 170 fps to 80 you just wanna punch the screen you know. Especially when such things were not happening before the patch. Overwatch is too demanding on the GPU, I still have to grasp why since it’s a stupid toony hero shooter.

I had the same problem, but after setting overwatch.exe back to normal priority, it seems to solved the fps drop problem. You can also try DDU your graphics driver and do a clean install. Also disable the show OWL scores and tips in game setting might help you get stable fps.

I’ll try thanks for the suggestion

People have been saying stuff like “This game is dying so bye” since a week after launch, and here we are 3 years later…

People play games and get burned out of them and that’s perfectly fine, just stop playing then. The developers don’t owe you the exact experience you had at launch, They don’t owe you anything other than the game you decided to buy.

So yes, I will see you “in a couple of months” when the game is still going strong like it has been.

The player base is shrinking tho, it’s a fact.

All player-bases shrink overtime, that’s how games work. People play a game until they don’t want to anymore. The game is 3 years old now with still relatively low queue times, I think that’s enough proof that the game is still going strong.

And where did you get this fact from? I’m guessing twitch viewer numbers (which are no indication at all of the size of a player base), since they haven’t released any hard numbers.

No dude, the quality of the matches. I see that more and more people are getting pushed away from their former elo due to throwers and smurfs and no one is trying nearly as much as it used to be. I mean it had no impact on my SR, since I always try to adapt to what I get, but game is not shining anymore and everyone saying otherwise is just a fanboy.

*In your opinion

Opinions are not facts btw…
