FPS and Stuttering with shots

I’ve noticed this awful problem in the game with steep fps drops and with any roles there seems to be a stutter in the frames/game specifically while either engaging an ability or shooting. I can’t describe it but it’s like the game jumps randomly. I’ve also noticed shots are going through corners and entire walls. Anyone else experiencing this?

Kinda hard to give you any feedback. What are your specs? What are you gaming on? Console, PC?

I play on a pretty good PC and have none of the above. Sometimes there will be frame drops but clicking reduce buffering fixes that!

If you don’t have it already, Lower your settings. I use all low, 100% rendering

CPU is an Intel i5-7500 and my graphics chipset is a radeon rx 480

I’ll give the reduce buffering, I honestly don’t know much about computers

Disable reduce buffering both in game and driver, disable precision mouse input and reduce mouse polling rate to 500hz. If it doesnt help than problem is likely in your network connection or your pc is probably overheating.

Toggled it and it worked ty so much

I’ve been experiencing stutters recently when my ping gets slightly high, which didn’t used to happen. I know it’s caused by high ping, but the stuttering didn’t used to happen before.

In game reduce buffering helps. You’ll see almost every streamer doing just that when their fps is dipping.

It doesn’t matter what you are running, It could be a top notch system or bottom of the barrel. The game just has fps drops from time to time but in a lot of cases alt-tab’n out of the game can cause fps drops.

Edit: I misread ya there. Its 4 am here O:) I’m leaning towards his specs. they are not the best

Your specs are not the best but not the worst… Mainly your gpu, Its a bit dated. For best performance turn all your setting down as low as you can possibly get it, Definitely make sure Anti aliasing is turned off and you’ll get some life out of it.

You should also probably lock your fps to 60

Whats your interpolation delay which can be seen after turning on in network settings

It works the opposite way. Reduce buffering means that frame is pushed straight away. If your PC has insufficient amount of performance, it will result in stutter because GPU awaits for frame which was not processed yet.

OW is CPU intensive game. Especially because it is played at high FPS → not every CPU can handle stable 144 frames per second, it might drop especially during fights leading to stutter.
