I’m pretty sure Pharah doesn’t have a right-click so that console players can actually fly cause otherwise it’s incredibly janky pressing A AND using the right stick at the same time to aim.

Also Overwatch is allergic to actual explosive weapons for some reason, which is why Junkrat and Pharah have inferior explosive weapons to any FPS I’ve ever seen.

Doesn’t seem to be worthy as an addition to her arsenal, imo of course.

Better than that, why not buff her rockets with some ā€œguidedā€ input.

Take FLUX from the new Rocket Arena game. Her rockets will change their trajectory based on where she moves her crosshair after a rocket has been fired. So you can basically rocket-bend around walls & obstacles.

This would be nice for those mid-air engagements with other Pharah’s… or surprising that Widow peaking around a corner… or sneaking some damage around a shield. :man_shrugging:t2:

To be honest, I thought you were going to suggest giving Pharah a Redeemer for her ultimate.

But that’s basically just Flying Riptire.

Mercy doesnt need another reason to be nerfed. She’s ā€œfineā€.

Pharah was actually my first main specifically because I found her weapon to be just like the UT rocket launcher (which made it the only weapon I could use effectively since my aim was so bad :joy:).

Started playing her again recently, and in my opinion she still needs better aerial mobility. I think her damage output is good but she struggles to get into a position where she can actually do damage without dying (especially against heroes like Ashe and McCree safely hanging out behind double barriers).

Also I use right-click to fly with hover jets. I’d be pretty screwed if that option were taken away.

oh so the modders that have more or less taken over the development of it has come this far.

kinda broken to have both nades and rockets on a rocket launcher, they messed it up sad to say, it used to only have the charge up more rockets as a secondary.

pretty sure the nade was the secondary for the rifle if i recall.

It’s just farting out a few Junkrat grenades at once. It just isn’t hitting me with an ā€œah!ā€ impression.

This is also an ability in Doom Eternal where you can fire the rocket launcher and explode it near and enemy.

I would much rather see Soldier 76 get his rockets changed.

Have him be able to fire one rocket at a time, with a 1 second delay between each rocket. Or que up to 3 rockets for one barrage. Each rocket deals say, 80-100 damage, so 300 damage for a fully qued up blast. Takes 0.75 seconds to que up a rocket, 1.5 seconds total to get everything ready, rockets have a recharge rate of 10 seconds.

Remote detonation. Yeah, it is extremely broken (or at least, was, the last time I played it, at launch) in the MP.

What do you mean ā€œIn new versionsā€ - this was introduced in UT99.

Unreal Tournament is the greatest FPS ever made, and still has a very active community. Competitive ā€œAssaultā€ is such a good game mode!

I’ve only ever played the campaign mode of Doom.

UT has so many awesome weapons and alt fire modes that it really is a shame when games don’t use inspiration from it and stick to very conventional weapons. Especially a hero shooter like this, taking place in the future where weaponry should be pretty tech-heavy. We still get plain revolvers and assault rifles :frowning:

It completely removes the need to hit them directly or get them with floor-based splash. Imade the enemy demon duo become even more prey to the Slayer (even a slightly aware Slayer was lethal in the MP).

Ah ok fair enough.

Because Unreal 1, which also had Deathmatch, didn’t have that but technically it was not UT though. Are you sure the grenades (right click, double left click) where in UT99 btw? Great game indeed. Although I played Unreal 1 DM and UT3 more than UT99.

They should rip off all the weapons from UT! Why don’t we have a ripper?! Or the bio rifle! The linkgun or shock rifle!

I mean, OW has already ripped off every other game, might as well, right?

For those interested in UT:Assault, which is like OW but better, there’s the UTAssault dot net community.

I was a competitive UT player for many years and won their ā€˜anniversary’ cup. I promise grenades are there when you alt-fire the rocket launcher
