To the forum moderation team - I have some concerns in regards to how the forum is being moderated at this time and I’d greatly appreciate it if my suggestions are reviewed and acted upon by the team!
- 50% or more of forum threads are filled with antagonism and hostility
- More consistent and harsher action needs to be taken against blatant harassment and bullying and those who engage in this behaviour
- More consistent and harsher action needs to be taken against blatant personal attacks and those who engage in this behaviour
- Actions taken should always be consistent
- The same bullies seem to continue to post indefinitely and harass others across multiple threads
- In threads where there are multiple posts from bullies or derailment in many cases the entire thread is removed with no regard for the contribution or effort of the original poster
- Many cases have been noted in which an entire thread is removed but with no action taken against the actual wrongdoers
- Deletion of an entire thread for a few bad actors punishes the original poster more than the actual wrongdoers
- Clearer reasoning for thread deletion should be provided
- Overall a lack of effective and transparent rule enforcement is noted
- The system needs to change and the approach to moderation by moderators themselves needs to change
It’s disappointing to see that this important asset to both the game developers and players has gone downhill - especially as this is one of the few venues through which we players can reach the developers with often important feedback - and this feedback is in many cases obscured by those who derail discussions purely to attack others!
If it’s felt that this isn’t the appropriate venue for the feedback I’d be happy to move this elsewhere or submit this directly to the team via any suggested communication method - or if someone in the relevant position may forward it to them this would also be appreciated!
