Yea it’s the #1 game talked about right now. People just dislike it due to the genre or bandwagoning on the hate train. It’s 1 thing to dislike it but when people bash it for no apparent reason then it’s usually some other influence.

Popular =/= Good.
Infact, if you ask me. I think popularity can be a very bad thing for a game, mainly because some games nowadays peak too quickly and end up not being able to keep up with the momentum and just go completely downhill, I find.
For a game as popular right now as Fortnite, I’d say that peak is going to be very soon. The game may as well be a trend, and all trends share the same end.
Just speaking my own opinion of course.
That’s what people are hoping but until something significantly better comes out to end said trend then Fortnite will still be a thing for a while. The next triple AAA shooters aren’t looking so good and are banking on BR (COD in specific) to overthrow a king.
Well, I’m not saying something else will come out to end Fortnite, at least not singlehandedly.
As I’ve said, some games nowadays can’t handle high amounts of momentum, and eventually cannot keep their customers satisfied with their product. I find.
And If and when that time comes, that’s when another game will step up and probably send Fortnite plummeting to it’s doom Mufasa style.
Again, just what I think.

Sorry, but personally Overwatch has better things to think about.
Other way around. Fortnite is running on a high that’s built around:
- Easy FPS
- Collect and build (offensive version of Minecraft)
- Cheesier than a cheese specialty shop (Bad? Just cheese. Fun!)
- No balance issues because there is no balance (less salt over unfairness)
The good thing about that is, it’s easier to sustain such a high and just keep building on those things. It’s like baby’s/non-gamer’s first FPS/MOBA and that’s honestly great since there aren’t any games like that (even Splatoon gets absurd despite being the definition of a casual FPS). Anyone looking for a challenge or even a somewhat defined FPS game will look elsewhere.
Other thing it has = it’s fun to watch. So much absurdity is going on thanks to building and 0 balance, so something dumb and entertaining is always happening. It’s like watching Lucios/Pharah’s/Brigitte’s/etc boop people off ledges in OW or some sneaky cheeky play, except it’s nonstop. That makes it streamer bait.
This post might be old, but if you heard of team fortress 2, you would know fortnite is not the first game with that humor. In fact Team Fortress 2 did it first.
Please don’t bring anything even remotely related to that game anywhere near this community.
