How irrelevant Overwatch has become, it dosen’t do any big hype stuff anymore.
The Sombra ARG was bad, but it was something special to remember.

, I loved it, nothing had ever been more exciting in a gaming community to me than when that happened.
I was spending night after night scouring every inch of maps for clues, I even was so hyped I made 3 separate ‘leaks’ of Sombra sightings myself (Im a 3d artist)

Its funny but all that silly map stuff they does more to make that game feel like it’s progressing than anything that happens in OW, despite this game having lore.
I don’t care about or play Fortnite, but they had a lot of people hyped over this.
Idk what you define hype by watching a black hole on stream for hours.

I miss those days when Valve would announce new content per day for tf2 and each day they would be details on what’s to come.
OW has boring way of delivering content they announce it and then release it on PTR and then wait for another month to play it. Just waiting for 20 days for latest patch to release is painful.
Honestly OW team just sucks.

I remember those days, the beautiful pages of the spy and sniper update, the War update, and the Uber update… where they would tease and count down to an update.
Blizzard kind of does this for the hero releases but the events… I know people complained that everything was being teased and it removed the mystery but at the very least they could tease a little.
This Fortnite ARG must be extremely annoying for the players… you can’t even play the game and this might go on for many more hours… possibly 24 hours.
