My name tag “kindred” was forced changed due to multiple reports. This was mid game and we were winning. I was booted and my blizzard client reset. Is this a new exploit? Can 5 players reporting all at once, boot a player out immediately or was it just random.
Customer service just copy pasted T&C after I raised a ticket with no explanation. There’s at least 30 other people (public) with this account name currently…
5 at once is a drop in the bucket, it would take a lot more than that. What likely happened, is a number of reports accrued and eventually the ban bot finally caught up with them all and booted you.
So I got reported multiple times maybe 10s or 100s for the name “kindred”. Why? Bit toxic and horrid system?
I can’t see anything wrong with “kindred”
And neither should have any automated system.
A quick google brought up a gambling company called “kindred”, so maybe that’s the reason people reported it?
Very far fetched and silly in my opinion since kindred as a word on it’s own is quite positive.
This sounds like some kind of new bizarre bug. S18 has been seriously buggy!
Trust me when I say that people will report for the dumbest of reasons.
