I am creating this topic to anyone who believe in things i wrote in title,
I would like to hear honest answer and explanation of it.
How is it exactly working? I mean is everyone affected by it? What do i have to do to experience it. Or is not everyone affected by it?
I would like to make experiment and i have new account placed low enough. How do i have to play or what to do to see it? Do i have to play solo only, filling, flexing? Which heroes? Just help me. I am very curious guy and I would like to test it and maybe show(recording my games) you if these things are true and if its almost impossible to climb, or opposite.
I like experiments and it honestly helped me to get better on new heroes i didnt play before over time. If i pick hero i dont play on my main in comp i feel like i am throwing so i use new account to learn them.
I would like to see separate sr for every hero but i know it probably cant ever be done.
Based on my exp, when you on winning streaks, you will win no matter how bad you play, enemy team feel like bot or your team are very good from all aspect.Sometimes hard match but still win.
On losing streaks moment, suddenly you got all want to play dps,no talk,no chat at all,now it your turn to be on bot team.Suddenly got leaver, thrower, and very rare hard balance match and lose.
It’s so pain on losing streaks, but if you keep relax and going on and never tilt and never throw, you will be on winning streaks back and repeat the cycle.
There is no forced lossing. That makes ABSOLUTELY no sense. Why would they do that? What does Blizzard gain from intentionally putting you into a lower SR? I have three accounts hovering around 4200. I promise you I could make a 4th right now, and be there just the same.
The system puts you where you should be. Stop blaming everything else.
Simple.
Get to lvl 25, play bad on all your Placements. Get a bad rank and keep and throwing. When you feel like it’s impossible for you to lose that’s exactly when you start to climb until those rigged games where your team can 5v6 are over (2-3 games). Then play duo for a few games and probably lose. Now play solo.
Congratulations the game now thinks you are garbage and will put you into games where you have to hard carry to win.
If you still win more than 60% just team up again, from my experience solo queue is easier even with a leaver than duo.
Interesting, why would game think I am garbage? If i will keep having good performance and then I will pick someone to go in duo, it will not affect me having still good performace. Going solo is actualy much more easy I think because if you duo or even bigger group, games will be harder and harder for you no matter how good you are. Because every next game you will be forced to carry others who probably dont belong in higher SR. So yes, if you play with other who doesnt belong higher yet, you have to carry them hard. But there is no reason for game to think you are garbage. But if you solo q, you possibly have to carry only people who are at same SR just like you ±. You dont even have to, I see it constanly at my rank, sometimes i visibly carry the game, sometimes I just cant do much and I am carried by others.
Around season 10 I’d been 2350 for 3 seasons as Orisa and Torb. I didn’t play much comp, so stagnated.
Then in placements I let some not so good chums play with me. Lost those 3 games. Dropped some Sr. Then I lost 13 in a row…
Some of those games… I remember enemy 3 stack at 2k. Far too good. They’d been 3k 2 seasons earlier… Suffice to say that I seemed to get all the worst team mates.
Games got harder and harder as I crashed down.
At 1700 was my nadir. As Orisa I won a 1v6 vs enemy team, killing 3 of them and forcing other 3 to retreat. Enemy Reaper gets rezzed. My team run past my barrier and Reaper kills the lot. I turn off my Mike and cry…
Gave up playing Orisa as team mates too imbecilic to tank for.
Lost a game with Moira, but managed 40 kill streak. Went back to Lucio as a main. Won 2 games going 22-0 and 15-0 kd.
Had an 80% win rate back up to 2k with generally excellent team mates.
Final game we were spawn camping enemy until we suffered a DC. We still won the subsequent 5v6 4 to 3. I don’t know what the hell the matchmaker was doing that game in thinking that the initial 6v6 match up was fair. Our team was so heavily favoured to win it was ridiculous.
Worst series of unwinnable games I’ve suffered is 4. Otherwise I’ve managed a good win rate and touched plat last season. My Lucio win rate was 67% and my team mates gave been almost universally excellent. I played games at 2600 with a 6 stack and those games were 100x easier than trying to win at 1700. Likely it’s easier to be carried than then carrier.
My Lucio stats are all bottom tier, except being top 4% for fewest deaths per minute. Maybe this means that Mmr matchmaker gives me higher Mmr team mates to carry me?
Not dying is very important. There is a lot of stats not really easily readible I guess. And they can make difference. Best way to see if you are doing well(below diamond) is how much SR you are getting for wins and how much SR losing when you lose games.
Sometimes its just bad lack. I had highly onesided games too. Its just really luck. You will get good people who are on their way up knowing what to do and enemy team will get just bad people.
Thanks for your story btw I always enjoy reading stuff like this
I just made a topic on this because for the first time in 15 seasons I feel like there’s something off right now. I check the competitive forum list and multiple people are complaining about this? Damn.
This would be it =). Oh, I must say this is a streak, I did not win any game in between.
So. I’m always the advocate of the mmr system working well enough and I don’t believe in smurfs ruining other peoples’ games and all that. I always try to learn more and am at 3.3k right now on one account (account A, solo most of the time). So, I have this other account (B) which decayed a little bit (from 3060 to 3000) and I used to play with my friends on that one.
I was like: let’s make this a full solo queue account (B) and see where I end up. For 15 seasons I’ve been flexing on both accounts and read up on the meta and stuff like that. I always manage to get at least 3k+ consistently. Yet, account B seems totally ****** when it comes to MMR? I just lost my 11th game in a row over the span of 4 days. I play top of my game and do not see myself doing anything different. I’m at 2800 right now and it just doesn’t stop. I log back into account A and win a few. Log back into account B a day later to continue the losing streak.
Is anyone else expierencing this right now? Is my account broken? What can I do about this?
TLDR: Have 2 accounts, account A is winning (50%+ @ 3.3k) no problem. Can not win any game on account B (dropped 200sr in 4 days). Same heroes, same effort. Something happened to MMR system since season 15?
Edit: to clarify the smurfs opinion see " Why Smurfing is NOT Ruining Your Games " from SVB on youtube =)
I call it bad luck. I think games around 3000 are hard. I honestly saw few people to say these games around 3000 are even harder to win than their games in masters rank.
If 3.3 is your elo, its one thing to keep it and different thing to actualy climb into it again once you dropped. How much sr you are getting on your account B for wins? and how much losing?
Unless you continually improve or get worse, its a pendulum, no doubt. The amount of SR you gain or lose is directly related to the system’s confidence in your rating, because it is then easier to accurately determine team averages for “fair matches”.
