It makes no sense why in competitive to have a group chat and then a team chat. Also if they are in a party chat force switch them to in game chat.

You know⌠you can still mute people even if they made it so that youâre automatically moved and locked into the Team Chat at the beginning of a Competetive Match.
Having like a Duo or Trio Stack on your team that just canât hear you doing voice Call outs or anything like that because they just sit in their Group chat
People may perform better when talking amongst their friends. Safe to say, Blizzard will not be doing this any time soon.
If they make private profiles why on earth would they do this. Besides, the person could just mute everyone else.
Forcing people to do anything most likely turn out wellđ

It is not practical or feasible to force everyone into team chat. For starters, there are players who technically are unable to join team chat. This can be due to reasons such as port configurations being blocked. Also, I find the âforce to join team chatâ argument invalid. I like to think that I am a very active shotcaller, and I do get many yellow endorsements for my positive and clear communication. However, very few players (at least around my rank) effectively use voice comms to that potential and more typically use voice comms to criticize their teammates (whether it is constructive or not). I feel we do better keeping the system as is by âencouragingâ players politely in team text chat to join voice comms, and use endorsements to praise those who effectively use the communication to benefit the team.

Communication is key to winning. If you canât chat for what ever reason you should not be playing but comp but if you insist on playing comp at least hear the team chat so you are not clueless on whats being said.
Itâs funny to me that so many people think they can sit back and judge who is or is not qualified to play comp. I really feel like a lot of people out there subconsciously view all the other players as NPCâs that are there to perform for them.

Is that a real problem for you? like do you suffer from no communication every single playing streak? because even in silver usually at least 4 people auto-join the chat.
I see what youâre saying there. I thought for a sec you were gonna say force everyone to use a mic and or be in team chat so we can all hear the toxic dirtbags trash talk the dps and healers. No thanks on that
