how peak gm1 top500 can’t win plat 1 lobby? I don’t get it. The nightmare is I’m solo and totally can’t avoid that.
It’s so unexplainable why when I played on secondary account, they predicted me mas4 so quick ; meanwhile, I barely won a match in plat 1 lobby on my main. What rank am I then?
Blizzard was like " Oh you won too many games???.. Here you are… your teammates who doesn’t know how to use keyboard"
I heard someone tell me the trick to rank up by throwing a game on purpose for 50 games and then try to rank up by uphill battle with stacked winning streak. Is that really working? If that works, I don’t mind to keep throwing for my goals.
edit : play on new account again today after collected 50 wins. Got master 4 in 2 hours. But still can’t win plat lobby on my main account. It should have some kind of scientific explanation for that.
It’s a team game. Being the best player in the lobby might give you an advantage, but it’s still possible for the enemy team to perform better collectively than you and your team. On average though, you will win more often than not and climb until you are playing with other players of roughly equal skill.
If you’re a GM1 top500 player and you lose one plat1 game - not really a big deal. Not every game is winnable no matter how hard you carry. This doesnt mean forced 50-50, it just means you got an unlucky roll with your team.
If you’re a GM1 top500 player stuck in plat1 claiming forced 50-50, then you are not GM1/top500.
Shocking news-you’re not some god like gamer. You will lose games, regardless. If you can’t accept then you’re going to have a bad time. And it’s sad you’re thinking of throwing games just to try to beat some mythical forced 50/50.
Always amusing that when somebody loses some games, they go into the kitchen drawer and whip out the tin foil and start building a hat.
I don’t know why would I lie to you? I’m not the best player, but at least I used to go up there for 3-4 seasons when I was in uni and know how the gameplay above is. I usually solo dps and play support with friends.

Streamer even called out about this long ago. it’s not something new. Even dev said it’s true that you will get higher chance to team up with higher mmr teammate just to win when you lost too many games.
I was rude. I apologize. I do believe you, but you and I got to high ranks solo because we’re good players. I guess I just chalk up bad losses or bad teammates to just poor luck and not forced losses.

You’re not “forced” to go 50/50. The matchmaker puts two teams together that it thinks will have an even chance to win or lose. Your job, if you want to rank up (or down for that matter) is to prove it wrong.

It is basically because they have innate competence needs that being met by believing everything is earned. It is like the real life example where the sheep pretend people such as Elon Musk or Donald Trump worked for their success and that it was not more or less gifted to them. People need to believe hard work and dedication result in something tangible to keep them stable.
