Hello fellow players! I am a GM on alt account and I heard about ELO hell. I picked up a new account to see if it was real, and let me just say that I learned the hard way that this is in fact real as heck! I spent about a month or two toying around with it, and it is extremely frustrating to say the least. If you are GM you can easily climb out of the rating you are in right now (That is assuming you are playing the heroes you can play on a GM level)
I do, but ELO Hell disregards it. I would do some research on the topic. I main support (mostly mercy/ana)
Not true unless you use a carry dps. If you a tank, support, or torb main you will have a difficult time.
It’s pretty hard to carry in ELO Hell
As a Zen main, I can tell you that this is not true. I recently got a PC and did my placements on a new account. I played Zen whenever I had the opportunity and I carried against Golds, Plats and Low Diamonds. You can carry with almost anyone. You can also carry with Rein, Hog, Zarya, Ana and so on

It depends on playstyle, not role.
As a support, I play as a “true support”. I try to find a carry or two on my team and make them even better than they should be. Genji is 1 for 2 on successful ults, give him nano and he gets 6 different 5/6k’s. Tanks want to be aggressive, pocket them and DPS becomes unnecessary. Unfortunately, this makes me extremely team dependant because I need someone to work through. ELO hell would affect me more than other, more individualistic support players. By having a more direct impact, those DPS Moira’s you complain about aren’t being held back like I am, despite playing the same class.
On the other hand, my Reinhardt is pretty aggressive and is going to carry with just a little bit of backup. ELO hell isn’t holding back my Rein, it is just my own stupidity. Their are some smarter rectangle man mains who may be suffering in ELO hell, but it isn’t because of hero choice.
It is harder to climb out as support (other than Zen) and Tanks. If you can pop off as a DPS the climb is much easier.
A GM being stuck? I call bull. GMs can legit body teams practically by themselves if a lower rank.
And the fact you disregard the fact Elo hell is a myth and the matchmaker works makes it soubd more like you’re full of it.
