It has the same bug that Minecraft on console does. You have to unplug your keyboard then plug it back in. So technically speaking plug mouse in first then keyboard.

There are also keyboards that, for some reason, do not work at all with the PS5. I have a Corsair keyboard and you have to do a key combo (hold “lock” and F1 until the keyboard flashes for a sec) to enter… some kinda mode the keyboard has so the PS5 recognizes it. Doesn’t work at all otherwise. No idea what that “mode” does.
TL;DR: Possible your keyboard just doesn’t work out of the gate. Best to google your keyboards manufacturer.
