For people who thought that Blizzcon skins can't return

Until today, we know that every single limited time cosmetic (other than Charity skins) can return to the game.

Weekly challenges skins, Hero challenges skins, OWL grey skins, OWL All stars skins and Widowmaker Noire has returned to the game. Now we know that Blizzcon skins can also return to the game.
Overwatch Cavalry på X: ”Get ready for the ‘Halloween Terror Credit Shop’ in #Overwatch2 :jack_o_lantern: Use your free Credits to grab the new Demon Hunter Sombra remix, Gilded Hunter, alongside some returning skins from past years. :spiral_calendar: Get 3000 Credits for FREE by logging in October 10 — 17! https://t.co/ChoswgbmlW” / X (twitter.com)

I think it’s great that skins are returning so that more people has a chance to get skins they before missed out on.
Hopefully other Blizzcon skins can return in the future aswell in the shop or as returning Blizzcon bundles for next Blizzcons.

Where does it say Blizzcon skins are returning

The Sombra skin was also given away for free before.

And it’s a recolor, so not the same.

When did that happen?

Also isn’t this a recolour of the sombra blizzcon, which is also the only blizzcon skin to ever return even before this recolour. I wouldn’t be too confident of any of the others coming back.

I think they might be referring to when it came out with the pre order on Nintendo switch. which i think is hardly it “returning” since it was still for ow1

It’s a recolor of a BlizzCon skin so not exactly. But I reckon they’ll do more recolors of BlizzCon skins as a way to re-release them while also keeping the original BlizzCon skin owners happy.

I remember when tons of people said they refunded the BlizzCon 2018 Virtual Ticket after realizing the Demon Hunter Sombra skin will be made available again at a later date as stated in the fine print. Blizzard probably doesn’t want that to happen again so may just stick with making BlizzCon skin recolors instead.

The demon hunter Sombra skin are returning to the game. After a second look it says “Remix” so perhaps it’s a recolor but anyway I’m still really happy that at least a version of the skin is returning.

Widowmanker Noire returned for pre-ordering OW1 on Nintendo Switch back in 2019.

The only skin available from Blizzcon for free was the Sombra Demon Hunter. But the people who bought the Ticket asked for a refund… The other skins cannot be recolored because they were not made available for free. We pay a lot for them and even though it’s unfair, I think they should remain exclusive. And even a recolor can remind you of the original. and I don’t want that. They can do it but they will have to suffer the consequences and I doubt they are prepared for that.

Demon hunter sombra was literally a 1000 credit skin in OW1

Other than the Blizzcon Sombra Demon Hunter Skin, no other Blizzcon has returned. Not to mention the Demon Hunter Skin was described to come back later on in the year, so it was planned to be returned.

OWL is not equal to Blizzcon Skin.

This would be ideal, but I do not see it happening, but I guess with all the changes, one can hope.

It’s a recolor not the original so unless they brought back the original as well, it’s technically not returning (for OW2 that is since the original does return during the OW1 halloween).

I’m not even sure a charity skin is safe now. There’s certainly nothing stopping Blizzard from doing a re-colour of pink mercy, in just a slightly different shade of pink.

Nope. It was a Blizzcon 2018 and Haloween 2019 weekly challenge exclusive.

I think that’s great news! Hope to see all skins make a return.

But still, it was advertised as a skin that would become available in a year, unlike all other limited skins.

Yes you’re true. However there were some people who argued that the skin would never come back after the 2019 haloween event due to what’s said in the fine print for the 2018 Blizzcon goodies. In the fine print it only mentions it will be available through the purchase of the 2018 in-game goodies and later sometime in 2019.

Didn’t they put the Demon Hunter skin in the regular loot boxes after a while? Since it was a Diablo reference
Zero other blizzcon skins have come out for free since then.
And it will stay that way

These skins should never have returned, they’re exclusive to Blizzcon If you didn’t buy the virtual ticket or chose not to then that should be it, it’s crazy that they’d take away from that experience just so they can get likely more money out of people if you had just been there a few years prior. Also, there is nothing that stops them from eventually selling Pink Mercy and Noire Widow. If we’re going to kill exclusivity then those 2 as well as others(Kerrigan Widow) need to come back. And any BP skins should come back, if I can’t have exclusive things then no one should be able to.

And until people stop valuing exclusivity (which is never) blizzard will constantly play you for dollars and then double dip later whenever it’s convenient for them.

The do not respect your purchase or motivations. They do not have any stake in a skin being “exclusive” beyond the FOMO dollars it initially brings in and if they can rake in cash on both the initial purchase and some sort of “special” return of the skin they will.

Nope. I missed it and there has never been another chance at it up until recently. Well, this is a recolor. But whatever. I suppose it is to promote her rework or something.
