If you are trying to take a bronze vacation the joke is on you. Most of the “bronze” players are people who threw just like you.
and this sucks for those who are low tier like me. I am a silver player in comp and hit bronze in FFA after having all 10 matches with plats and diamonds… now I have thowers who wanted to be bronze for easy cp and kills to fight against.

Have you considered that some people are placing lower than their normal competitive rank because FFA is unbalanced, killstealing cancer and no one in their right mind would have suggested making it competitive, so they just don’t give a sh-t and want their placements done and over with?

ive seen masters in bronze… theer is no excuse for that.

Even XQc got platinum and other high tier players are getting lower placements. The kill steal is seriously an issue, but that’s what to expect from a FFA

Well the last competitive arcade mode felt like the placements swung your SR wildly for every win/loss. Maybe it’s because I played on the last couple of days, but two losses would take me from playing against masters/diamonds to low plats and high golds. I didn’t give much of a sh-t, just got them over with, and placed about 800SR lower than my normal comp rank.
I can see how someone who truly hates playing the mode could end up with 10 losses and drop 5 ranks because of that.
But idk if that was really the case with the competitive elimination because Blizzard doesn’t tell us anything about how their algorithms work.

I can tell you there are tons of throwers in this game mode. I would be lying if I said that I was taking them super seriously cause I certainly am not.
Had a masters player play ana wreck for like 2 minutes then proceeded to throw they ended up last place.
Had 2 tracers on one enemy team that were like a combined -50 kills… they pretty much just kept leaping off the map.
I get that we cant expect people to take arcade seriously. But what is going to happen when a legitimate low bronzer faces a diamond plus player who decided to warm up on widow, tracer, pharah, genji, or hanzo etc etc.
I fully expect to be lower than my normal comp rating cause there are probably less players of this mode. But I shouldnt facing 3300+ players in any sort of 1400 game mode.
Putting any sort of “competitive” mode in arcade is a TERRIBLE idea. If you think skill variance in comp is bad try arcade ffa.
Players are just looking for easy arcade wins for the holiday event.
I placed Silver trying my hardest. Sym just sucks without a team.
What do you think is going on in real comp in bronze?

clearly not many. Again why blizzard would put a competitive mode in arcade is beyond me. The amount of plat plus around 1200 SR really is comical
I am intentionally playing a bad hero but am still trying to do the best I can at Bronze level, please if you see someone throwing themselves off a cliff report them for it, it’s fine to play stupid heroes like Zarya, but play to win still so you are matched correctly, don’t curb stomp people and then suicide.
