For Achievement Hunting: What counts as a "kill"?

As the title suggests, what counts as a “kill”? To be more specific, what does a “kill” mean when mentioned in some of the Achievements for cute sprays (e.g. get 4 kills w/ a single use of Death Blossom)? Does this have to be final blows or could they also be just eliminations while using an ult?

Because for both the times I got the Reaper and Torb cute spray (yes… I somehow got the Torb cute spray), I ended up getting 3 final blows with the ult, with the last kill being not from the ult but from another teammate while I was using said ult. So for the achievements that require to get 4 kills while using their hero’s ult, does it mean that they just need to get eliminations while using it? Sorry if this is a confusing question, so I hope this makes sense. Thanks!

unless otherwise specified (e.g. Doom achievement I’m sure it needs to be 4 final blows as in, the Meteor icon needs to show in the kill feed 4 times or more), it’s meant participation kills and not final blows.

Reaper and Genji for example need 4 kills for their achievements but they don’t need to be final blows.
