That’s what you get when you pick a fight against Gabriel Reyes. Rot in Hell.
Antonio reminds me of Klaw from Black Panther
He thought they were too “goody-two-shoes” to do any harm to him, the risk he took was calculated.
Badly calculated, but not everybody is good at math.
Considering both Blackwatch and Overwatch basically dies after this incident, his death serves Talon well.
I mean it is as he said, if they only captured him he’d be released and Overwatch blamed. So.
Blackwatch’s existence wouldn’t be compromised in the public eyes though. Reyes hecked up by killing him.
It would, Blackwatch was a part of Overwatch so screwed wither way.
Surviving being shot in the chest out of a window would be one of the less incredible things that overwatch characters have managed to walk away from.
And you hear him hit the water. Usually in tv, film, etc if someone is heavily wounded and they fall into water, they survive.
I’ve missed you, buddy.
I doubt it would. Antonio is a known corrupt official and arms smuggler so capturing him wouldn’t get OW be blamed in the first place because everything would be kept under a rug, thus keeping Blackwatch’s existence a secret.
Killing him made everything about Blackwatch public.
No, he was known to the public as a respectable buisness man. :V
which is why killing him is the worse action.
If all they did was to capture and interrogate him things wouldn’t escalate so far.
But it did work…
To me, it’s similar to stain in My Hero Academia(for those who don’t watch the series, I’ll sum it up for you. There was a villain known as the hero killer stain, who, as implied, killed “false heroes” who he believed weren’t worthy of the title hero. Three main characters fought and defeated him in a very intense fight. He was captured but his ideals spread and helped influence the major villains, and led to more power villains join them, the league of villains).
Yes, Antonio died. But his sacrifice made talon a more dangerous enemy, and crushed both overwatch and blackwatch. Just like stain, his sacrifice lead to a more powerful talon.
But then he could tell his friends in high places, and overwatch would still be as screwed. It was better to put an end to him there and then, cause one way or another Overwatch would take the blame.
You FOOL!!!’
And now we have good old maximilien as a substitute, everyone wins
Blackwatch is known by the officials, but not by the public.
Blackwatch has the dirt on Antonio just as much as Antonio/Talon knows about them, so if they captured them everything would’ve ended up in a stalemate.
Killing him however, revealed Blackwatch to the world and thus making Overwatch’s flawlessly heroic status questioned, eventually leading to its downfall.
He’s back baby…
Yes but think of this, if he was captured, And his friends would know of it, and they would, what Would happen then ? Should they blame Blackwatch hence revealing them to the world, or admit it was they who kidnapped an honorable buisnessman ?
