Flow State Heist

Hi, big Overwatch fan here, and I can’t help but feel like the flow of the game has been “disrupted” by the devs to enforce a simulated virtual gaming experience for every player, and to create lucrative view-farms for themselves that represents the favor of the simulated experience.

has your teammate ever:
immediately told you to shut the **** up when speaking?

played a hero directly into its counter, with no spoken intention to use this counter matchup effectively or swap?

suggested to you it might be time for a swap, with net result being an unhappy gamer if you don’t accommodate his wish?

Players of overwatch, have you found yourself peeking a corner and suddenly that corner has become Defcon 5 and no players would make a mismovement in this zone of the map?

Have all of your flanks become unintentional 1v3’s and insta-collapses? (across all ranks)

or do you work really hard to create a good angle for yourself only to find yourself missing? (this one’s actually ur fault lol, but hey back in da day it woulda been a free kill)

this could be the result of Blizzard Microsoft implementing and authorizing the use of integrated AI to synthesize the once natural 6v6 (now 5v5) experience.

Many of you may be wondering how could that possibly happen? Certainly I’m just the same variable in the function of the match creator that causes my games to be crappy. But what if, and turn your ears off to the noise on this one, but what if, it was an attempt to turn a once beloved game into a corporately-bought-and-owned right to not only your personal information, but your exact tendencies in-game, to not only create .exe scripts that release the flow of keystokes that are ideological property of your in-game experiences.

It’s possible they are doing two very naughty things with YOUR SPECIFIC PLAY STYLE. Stealing it completely, and writing into smart scripts that execute your ideological property, or wrapping it into a bot-matrix of multi variable counter scripts that are designed to MAKE YOUR GAME FEEL UNREALISTICALLY HARDER THAN IT ACTUALLY SHOULD BE.

This could all just be me finally being done with overwatch, but bear in mind the blood sweat and tears I have put into this game and I am proud to say I was lucky enough to see a real upper echelon game of top 1k players, and not be forced into a negative-feedback-loop matchmaker and gaslit into believing experience was 100% human.

So am I crazy? Probably, but I am also pretty well and trained on this specific game, the only game of it’s kind, at hitting headshots. and let me tell you guys, some of these bots will know to never walk a specific path so they can guarantee you lose our on some sweet sweet kill potential. they’ll also take the relatively small risk it takes to take those shots, and multiply it by a million. making every situation where you need to start landing shots more strenuous on your mind and body than it needs to be.

have you ever stopped to think holy fudge, who is really going to use a 20-30 input/s strafe just to maybe survive a little longer… in quick play.

APOLOGY AND DISCLAIMER:
Investigation onto whether or not it’s legal for Blizzard to be putting people into games with AI botnets instead of players is not underway and I am not that guy. If this is happening, we’ll either find out some day and do nothing, or put the power of the flow-state back into the hands of the player.

It is definitely possible that Blizzard saves all of your inputs and is learning how to create no player characters that know how to absolutely piss on you without you even knowing it.

It started as just really annoying echos, and turned into inexplicably strong movement patterns that don’t seem possible to configure in free fall.

As the bots collect every new data point I give them, I watch them use those techniques.

As I fight a computer to put crosshair to pixel, I let go of the stress I am feeling, and look for a new safer or easier target.

as each target becomes more and more difficult to hit, I simply ask that you take what looks like a bad matchmaker, and try to understand the intricacies of the patterns we seem to agree happen every day.

if I’m right, shame on Blizzard for trying to steal my own personal state of flow, and try to convince me that I’m just not achieving any results.

if I’m not right, shame on Blizzard for having such a bad matchmaker I need to verify my teammates are real before I can confidently play the way I would naturally play, and not the spaghetti input soup I sometimes have to give just to get a bot off me, or to get a bot to position wide-open.

WetWipes, you are banned from this post. You do not get to dictate the flow of this conversation today.

Real players, I think we can get overwatch 1 back boys.

I think you just set the new bar for when reaching for the tin foil hat.

I may sound crazy about unseen variables and conditions, but to overall use your key strokes for scripts… I dunno man.

yeah as far as intention goes, I have no idea why blizzard would wanna create matches this bad.

but brother, I beat a team of plats by walking into 3 people on purpose, and fleeing the scene entirely. I’ve flanked and been collapsed on and owned, just to realize that motion got us a rez on the tank cuz 3 players decided to full focus me.

Rank integrity is so bad, it’s got you wondering something deeper.

My suggestion go back and vod review that scene. You might see some other variable at play to lead to that outcome.

Maybe, but nothing will explain my new aiming method that works by putting your cursor where you want their head to be, and move-inputting in a way that “tricks” players into counterstrafing right into it. easier shots but it doesn’t always work out. the more you do it the more it nerfs it
