Flex queue is meaningless

this is not how flex queue suppose to work. right now it is the same as selecting all three roles in role queue, whats the meaning for that? how FLEX queue suppose to work is, it should be seperate from role queue and everyone queue for flex queue get a random chance to get dps, tank, healers. this will greatly decrease the queue time, and everyone has a chance to get dps.

FLEX is basically TANK

Depends on when you play. People in EU play tank role less than in US.

Yeah, but at that point, it’s the same thing but for a different class.

The thing is, I have to agree with him. Flex is pointless. If you really want to play all 3 roles, you could just highlight all 3 of them. Otherwise, it’s just gonna be the role with the least wait time in your region.

Well yeah, i dont understand why they dont give tickets when you play certain least played role. I dont want to queue as flex not knowing what I will play.

I agree. The reason they do it is imo to trick people into playing roles that are least played imho. I know this might sound rude, but I feel like Blizzard-Activision (Mainly blizzard since Activision is already this) has become underhanded.

I get it, but they can give ticket only for role they currently need. Not enough tanks? Give ticket for playing tank. Not enough supports 1 hour later? Ticket for support and remove it from tank.

Yeah. I do think that would be a better idea honestly. I don’t mind the tickets thing and think your idea is better than choosing “flex”.

The whole reason behind flex queue is to get more people in the pool overall.

Ah yes! We need more tanks but rather than fix that issue, 1/3 of the tine folks should get what there’s a glut of as is. That will help fire more games!

You’re rewarded for agreeing to be what MM needs you to be instead of what you want to play necessarily. You’re role filling. It’s like if a shop has too many of product X but never enough Y, you want to be rewarded for selling product Y. The issue is selling X or in this case tank.

In the video where they introduced role queue Jeff referred to this as “Dark UI” or something like that. Which means they know exactly what they’re doing.

It’s ‘‘least popular role(s)’’ queue and it makes sense. As if there is ever going to be a lack of dps players in a fps game.
